I wouldn't mind addressing any issues you may have with it, and maybe you would be able to change the opinions of the larger community.

    Sure, you can.

    Who? Me?

    ...............................................

    Now seriously.
I don't really see the effects. Yes, everything will be multiplied by five. Yes, every point in intelligence will do something. But what will it do?
As I said in my previous post in this thread, show examples. I can't see why it would change anythinh except better feeling. Thats the only thing you missed in the thread.

    Idk what that guy said.
    But here's a few examples:
4% spell cost doesn't do anything because of rounding. For example, if I cast uppercut it wouldn't affect mana cost at all.
With the change, 4% of 50 is 2, so uppercut cost 52 mana.

(Note, 16 intelligence in the current system is the same as having 11 int, due to rounding)
Let's say you have 16 int, as a mage, this means all of your spells cost 14.8% less.
Heal cost 26 mana instead of 30
Teleport cost 17, instead of 20
Meter cost 34 instead of 40
And ice snake cost 17 as well.

Here is a small chart showing what the effect would be of scaling mana by 5 for Meteor costs:
    Meteor Mana.png
(sorry if there are any inaccuracies, I used the approximation for skill point effectiveness, but it's about the main idea anyway)

First of all, the scaled mana system would indeed likely feel better by being more fluid (and thus intuitive) than the seemingly arbitrary jumps at 68, 94 (etc.) intelligence. Same goes for the spell cost% thresholds.

This would definitely be a significant benefit in my opinion - for example, currently, Item Makers cannot make items with a max. mana regen/steal of 2, since bases of 1 and 2 lead to a max. of 1 and 3, respectively. Scaling mana would let items have base values that effectively were not possible before, which may help with balancing items.

Finally, it may create a bit of freedom/creativity when classbuilding by not having the intelligence thresholds be forced upon you as much.

That said, some items may need to be rebalanced - I don't have any concrete examples but I feel like some items are balanced around hitting certain thresholds with them.

    So in the mage example, I could spam heal like: 26 + 26 + 31 + wait 4 secs + 31 instead of 6 + 6 + 7 + wait 7secs + 8 (yes, it yould reset by then but still)
Could you please show me a practical example (spell spam build+weapon)?

I got that, but still thanks.

So you are saying you would have to rebalance the whole carefully designed item system?

I think I will give up the vote (if possible) until we solve it. It seems like a good change but I am not sure how much would be needed to rework.

    Also @JaydonTheWarrior 100% support?

Basically, 129 is the final int mark where mana costs drop. It's annoying that a very common and good set basically wastes sp by only having 128 int.

No problem, just wanted to reiterate.

No, I said "some items may need to be rebalanced". Some endgame items may need to have their intelligence ID decreased. No hyperbolism needed.

EDIT: Mana-related IDs may need to be rebalanced yes, but theoretically don't you think it would be for the best?

Not really, not much gets changed to accommodate this. Sure, a lot of stuff has to get scaled (pretty easy) and it's much harder to get perfect mana rolls, but close-to-perfect is still acceptable once that happens. I don't get how your points even come close to explaining why this could ever be bad.

The only valid complaint I can think of is that Wynncraft was designed to be simple and 100 is a big number. But it's arguably simpler with 100, since applying percentages takes even less effort.

being 1 point off on intelligence severely compromises your ability to spellspam, artificially creating a rift between weapons which are good (those with intelligence) and weapons which are not

with jaydon's suggestion you should come pretty close without being forced into an sp weapon whereas the difference is dramatic currently
