    Here is a QOL suggestion:

When a tools durability reaches zero, it should be communicated to the player something like a message like the one below and a harsh Minecraft sound would be played too (like a bat’s death or toolbreak sound).

“Your tool is broken and cannot gather resources! Go to the blacksmith to repair it with scrap.”

And if they keep trying to use it, it would repeat this message and sound over and over.

Suggested by @7Red_Dragon7: There is a toggle for this in case you want to turn it off. This will be on by default though. /toggle toolwarning would do this.

Please ask any questions for clarification, improvements, or state any potential flaws.

Some people gather crops just for xp and that sound would be annoying and so on

I remember seeing a notice about some toggle (can't remember which) in chat but imho they could be made a bit more frequent. Or put the useful toggles in an info section in the lobby, idk.

As for the suggestion, I can't see anything wrong with this, it's literally just positive change. When it gets in the way, just toggle it off. +1.

A good way to talk about toggles would be the tutorial (if that gets fixed) or just hints in chat.

Because honestly imo having it have an extra line of “use /toolwarning to disable this” would be unwieldy and imo break my immersion. Also, if those same newbies don’t know how to toggle, then it would be unreasonable to expect for those newbies who don’t know why their tool won’t gather to turn on this toolwarning to figure this out.

It's an idea but not that creative of an idea, still could be useful though. But I am of the opinion that the tool should just break tbh, or we stick with infinite durability.

First idea: This basically punishes players who don’t look that their tool is on low durability by forcing them to get a new one. Basically a fuck you to those who don’t pay attention to tool durability or don’t know it exists.

Second idea: No limits on gathering resources? Seems a bit broken to me.

They should just break or have infinite durability, reduce the price of them too, that'll fix it (yes even the dungeon ones)

    1. Why would infinite durability be not broken?
    2. Still a fuck you when you have to go out of your way to go to the place to buy tools that broke.

Actually what are is your main goal with this idea?
My main goal is to inform people about the existence of durability and act as a QOL by alerting when tool broke.

If they never broke like before then there would be no need for this, it's an alright suggestion yeah and I don't really care if it's added or not. But it's very basic and I don't think you should credit yourself with creating this as I've heard other people talk about it before, or to become the master of alerting people about this small new feature or whatever you're on about lol, I do not mind if it's added though, but I think it to be a bit unnecessary.
