Mob Totem Upgrade

    i had a thought about the mob totem. it attracts mobs/ increases spawn rates right?
    so my idea for it was a sort of minigame with an exp reward if you win
    basically the mob totem would have a 3-5 minute timer(depending on character level) and you would have to protect the totem while the timer ticks down. any exp gained would go straight to the totem instead of the character and when the timer ticked down all the way, the exp would be evenly distributed among the characters inside. the mobs that spawn would be attacking the totem, not you and if the totem was destroyed, all exp collected would be lost. i even have a way to stop totem sniping. a max of 5 players can be in the ring and you have to be in the ring already to gain the exp. anyone outside the ring would be kept out through barrier blocks and the mobs would spawn on the edge of the ring. the totem would have 500 hp and would NOT regenerate at all.

    please tell me what you think of it and leave comments if you have ideas on how to improve this.
    im not sure if it is possible to be done but it was a neat idea i thought up. the mob totem would Literally attact the monster to it and they would attack it.

    oh no my totem was hit a single time by a weird ice golem thing in frozen heights and it instantly exploded
    oh no this completely ruins dcave parties and stuff
    oh no this encourages totem leeching

    overall i can see what you are going for here, but it just wouldn't really fit into the way wynn works, and would disrupt a lot of the way that the game currently plays out.

    That doesn't sound good at all :/
    Imagine a level 1 going to Dcave, a level 100 carries them, they do not have to worry about being hit since the mobs only attack the totem, after 3-5 minutes, that player is now level 100 too! :D
    My suggestion would rather be that there would be a way of inviting people in your totem, for example, if there is someone, but you are so selfish that you don't want them to benefit from your totem, then you invite all your friends, but not that guy, you farm and boom, the xp doesn't get sniped and you can get more than 5 people in the totem.
    Also that would avoid the barrier blocks to block parts...
    Like seriously, people could just place totems at the ragni's castle entrance and starters wouldn't be able to leave...
    Not enough, clearly, my suggestion would be that the hp depends on the level of the mobs that are being spawned.


    However, the main problem here is :
    Only a few people could farm somewhere, others would have to wait for the totem to end before they can start farming...
    A way of fixing that would be to send people in a different server, with just that totem its range, but that would cost even more money and would probably add more lag...

    So yea, I don't think that suggestion will make it through, but who knows.. maybe

    500 hp is way too low, this breaks any totem parties and encourages totem leaching

    YEah I'd concur with the general consensus here. While it's clear you thought out your suggestion in great detail it is actually a severe downgrade because of totem destruction "making players lose all the EXP they gained." 500 HP is also way too little, and if you're in an area with fast-moving or ranged mobs the totem can be considered dead on arrival. Too much risk for too little reward.

    One of the things you said about only 5 players in an area could be REALLY bad. Like say there is a csst going on and there are 40 players and some nerd decides to be like "o lolol wouldn't it be funnyyyy to put a mob totem right in front of the door so no one could put their tokens in the hopper? o lololol so much funny I will do it now lololol"
