Website/Forum Unique Thread For All The Rules?

*not sure if this should be a suggestion but I feel like it's more of a feedback than a suggestion*

As of now we have:

• Game & Forum Rules
• Info - Afk Farming
• Shoutbox Warns

And I don't really understand why the rules are splitted into different threads/sections.
A new forum user will probably (...) go red the rules under the Rules & Information section to find the Game & Forum Rules thread, but he will probably miss the complementary threads.

So my feedback is that you should merge all the rules/informations-that-are-actually-rules under one thread.

In case of new rules being added a complementary (but temporary) thread can be made but the new rule(s) needs to be in the main Rules thread too so everyone who comes check the Rules can find them all in one place.



TLDR: Don't make 879 threads for each rule but just use 1 thread with all the rules in it.

 

In my opinion, having seperate threads for temporary rules is fine, they just need a space in the "Rules and Information" section.
It is the duty of any community member, old as new, to keep themselves updated on that section, not just the "Forum and Game Rules" thread.

"Shoutbox Warns" is also mostly just a reminder to be polite as being an asshat was already against the rules.

 

The AFK farming is a temporary rule which I felt didn't need to be added to the rules only to be removed later. I also wanted to go into more detail and explain the reasoning which the rules thread would not have completely allowed.
The Shoutbox Warns thread is an update on how we will be acting from here on, it is not an update on the rules but instead a notification and a reminder.

I still think you should make a permanent rule against AFK grinding to avoid stuff like the amadel farming in the future.

I'd rather not, it's like banning a set of items in the game. If the items are a problem then they get changed or removed. In this case it is mainly the bug that gets you items from mobs you're not supposed to that's the issue.

You don't ban games, you just make optaining them require actual effort.

 

Technically, AFK-grinding is not against the rules, the game is just supposed to make it impossible to do legit.
Amadel-grinding was caused by a bug in the system, and bug/glitch/exploit abusing is stated clearly in the rules to be an offense.

That is my take on why Amadel-grinding is now against the rules while the general idea of AFK-grinding is not.

 

A link to each of the different rules could be added on the main rules thread tho.. So they got their own thread with some explanation but are also linked with the main thread.
