I'm not saying this out of salt, as it hasn't happened to me, but recently a friend of mine has tried to upgrade a black horse, and got degraded to a brown. I mean, I get that this is a thing, but should it be a thing? It's a bit of a money hole focused on horses, and I get that its there to stop people instantly getting white horses, but a 20% chance to degrade? I mean this seems too high, maybe a 5% or 10% max, but this isn't how genes work :3. I understand about having to limit people slightly, but it just seems too much in my honest opinion. It's still 24 emerald blocks per horse, and it's not guaranteed to upgrade. Also maybe decrease the chance of upgrade, but decrease the chance of downgrade.

 

What you don't understand is that until you're 80+ You don't need anything better than a black horse. It's supposed to be a sinkhole for the higher level so the economy stays in check with something people with over 20stax of LE can spend on.

You didn't have to say it like that, from what I see this guy is much more intelligent than you based on the fact that he even pulled in "genes" to the talk. From all you're saying you just sound salty and need to go easier on newer players.

 

The fact that horses cost 24eb means jack shit.
White Horses / Chestnut Horses are supposed to be worth your money and time you spent trying to get that horse, instead of quickly getting a Black or a Chestnut if the percentage for downgrading was 5% / 10%.

 

That's why I said lower the chance of upgrade aswell, making the horse stay the same would be fine.

 

I'm not salty at all, I'm just a "little" (hee hoo i'm so funi) of all of the "make x easier to get!!" suggestions that I've been seeing around.
+ imo, the whole "genes" talk doesn't mean much. Hell, this is a forum to talk about being a knight in online legos.

 

It's just a suggestion, not forcing anyone, I just want to see what other people think. Of course if you are already high level and have already put the time and effort in, then you aren't going to want people to waltz in and steal your pride.

 

Horse degredation is what makes white horses valuable.

If the content team removed this, the value of white horses would go from 1 stack to 5LE

 

I'm not saying remove, I'm saying make the loss chances less, but also the win chances less. This way people wont feel as bummed by going down a tier of a horse so easily. You could go from 2 chestnuts to a brown in the space of a minute.

 

I feel like they need to make a bigger money drain for the super rich players...
Easiest solution are tier 5 horses (probably)

So much money is flowing into the economy (among other players).
Not much is flowing out (people spending money on NPCs)

And I feel horses are fine as they are.
If they increase the chance for a good horse, the economy would become considerably worse

 

That's why I say decrease the chance for a good horse, but decrease the chance of a bad horse, so its most likely going to be the same horse.

the average horse breeding prices are all right except white horses which cost 118le.

 

I agree with you, black is fairly easy to get, but combining 2 blacks could downgrade so easily, I'm saying if its harder to downgrade then also make it harder to upgrade, this way you don't lose a tier so easily, and you're more than likely to keep the same tier.

 

I really don't like threads that are made because something annoying happened to them or they weren't lucky.

That's not what you said. Also, I would've made this regardless if my friend failed or not, like I say, I'm not saying make horse upgrading easier, I'm saying make the chance to downgrade harder.

Why the salt at the end? I'm trying to make a helpful suggestion and at the moment, the votes are almost 50/50. Maybe if everyone isn't being so prideful, they'd realise this.

 

You're literally saying to decrease horse success and degradation percent, which is increasing the rate for it to stay the same, you're pretty much just making horses worse
