Have this happens to you? you have just spent all your day getting into debt after buying the expansive t3 materials and the rare ingredients you need for your shiny gear, only to found out you got practically a 13% roll of a crafted. Don't worry, I got you.

Introducing Crafteds reforge: Using you're nearby blacksmith, you get a 4th option, which act basicly just like Item identifier reroll; you select the crafted you desire to get better stats with, insert the materials (Explains farther down), let the reforging do its thing (with the same crafting sound efffect) and you got now a (hopefully) better rolls crafted.

    So with what you reforge?
To me, it would require same amount of one of the two materials you used to craft your spear.
For example lets say you just crafted spear with 6 Voidstone ingot T2 and 12 Sky wood T2, in order to reforge it, you would need either 6 voidstone ingot t2 or 12 sky wood t2 to try getting better roll.
    Simple, right?
However, the reforging would require the highest tier material you used in order to reforge, so lets say you just had crafted shiny Gathering xp necklace that happens to get terrible Gathering xp %, you used 6 t3 Dernic gems and 18 T1 Dernic oil, the reforging would not give you the option to choose between the 2 diffrent materials in order to reforge, but rather would require only 6 t3 Dernic gems to reforge.

    Recursive reforging:
Just like Re-rolling identified item in order to get better rolls, reforging would allow you to reforge the same crafted more then once, however, just like rerolling, the material cost per reforge would increase as well.
I think that to keep it still duable to reforge without getting too expansive, first reforge would cost the same as how you crafted it, and starting from the 2nd one, each reforge would cost x1.5 times more materials then the previous one, so for example, first lvl 95 wand reforge would cost 6 sorghum strings, then 9, then 13, then 19.

Since it would more then enough times would make the cost not a full number, the reforging would round down the cost, just like professions speed bomb on crafting!
Speaking of professions bombs , those can work on the reforging and would round down to full number as well, just in case you think 6 t3 per first reforge is a lot for your set.

Conclusion: I just think my idea would really help reduce the incredible expansive cost of varies ingredients, as the reforging would give 2nd chance rather then going through all the pain of finding/buying the ingrediants (which the cost can go high), but it would slightly increase the material cost, as the demand for reforging with t3/2 would be high.

Yeah, it would be a great improvement that would make crafting less annoying and more viable.

nah this would be OP. crafted items are very strong, stronger than most normal items. being able to reroll them just makes them stronger. you also wouldnt need to consider the roll ranges as much; the enhanced potential microchip ingredient is a great example of this, its very powerful, granting up to 16% spell damage, however, it can give as low as 4% spell damage. if you dont want to deal with that RNG, you could use an ingredient that has a lower spell dmg range. that decision making in crafting is important IMO, you could go for broke and use the more RNG dependent ingredient, or you could play it safe and use a more reliable ingredient. when i was making my full crafted build, RNG was an important consideration, some of my recipes used very expensive ingredients, so i had to minimize the effects of bad RNG as much as possible with the other ingredients, and having to work through that was a lot of fun and interesting. while getting to reroll crafteds wouldnt entirely erase that, it would greatly reduce its importance and just make the process of creating your crafted items less involved, which isnt something i think is healthy for the game.

also for something like gxp, the fact that you cant reroll makes the good rolls even more valuable, it would definitely reduce the value of LQ and GXP immensely

Fair point, but again, the cost can very quickly overwhelm you, especially using t3 materials, and as for the GXP/LQ ... im honestly thinking the t3 mats cost would balance the cost of getting the elusive roll, who knows, if it seems that bad, I suggest prof speed would NOT work on reforeging, making the cost even more balanced to the god roll

then youre just crafting the item again, but removing the ingredient cost. which sort of just defeats the purpose of some ingredients being more expensive/rarer than other ingredients.

(prof speed is irrelevant since the cost during a speed bomb should just be the default cost for everything)

Maybe including some of the ingredients (stat items) instead of the materials (mats needed to actually craft the item) might make a bit of sense, but it would likely need to be balanced by requiring you to use both ingredients and materials (like 1-2 ingredients and 50-75% of the materials, somewhere in that range). Just a thought, but regardless a way to reforge crafted items would be really beneficial to crafting.
