Make /kill Cost 3 Soul Points But Have No Chances Of Dropping Anything On Hunted Mode

Ok so I got softlocked due to a glitch with the teleport spell while doing a discovery, I got trapped and I lost 3 items thanks to the fact I'm doing a hunted mode run 2020-06-26_21.10.36.png 2020-06-26_21.11.56.png
I honestly think this is super unfair, I got forced by the game to use /kill and lost valuable items (a very well identified almuj's walker) due to a situation I had no control of.
So here is my suggestion: To avoid abusing this, raise the price from 2 soul points to 3 or 4 but remove the item drop chances. This way, If I have to die because of a random glitch like this, I won't get punished.
Also no, I wasn't trying to get glitched actively, I got in there by teleporting casually to save time walking up stairs in the abandoned mines discovery. I had no control of the situation.
    Another possible solution from @Saya:
"Making you lose stuff still if you're below 6(?) soul points is probably a good middle ground, so you can't constantly stay on low soul points while /kill panic buttoning.
And if you're stuck, you can wait to regen."

I agree with this idea, though the server would need to check for the last time the person using /kill was attacked to avoid this concept being abused. But really, a leaf tunic and normal rarity helmet a level 29? I still agree it's a bit of an unnecessary loss, but you didn't have too much to lose there.

Yeah, there'd need to be some sort of balancing system for the /kill abusers.
Although here, OP only lost some low-level items, my friend lost their Az because they were in hunted mode then got stuck in a few blocks.

Sorry. I meant to refer to just this specific event. In most cases, losing a single set item twenty levels below you either wouldn't matter because it's useless to you at that point, or can be bought back for a somewhat cheap price due to other people trying to get items from the same set and get duplicates.

Nitpicking the items lost? Seriously? They're what's called an *example*, to show that you can lose any IDed items and how much of an issue it is.

Not losing much in a very specific situation doesn't mean it is not an issue.
The issue is not that I lost a leaf chestplate and an Almuj's walker (with like near perfect stats by the way), the issue is that there is a chance that because of a bug, an issue in the game you have no control over, you can lose very valuable items.
Let me give you an example of how big of an issue this could be:
A level 80 hunted mage finds a mythic wand on a chest, it is Pure, and he gets a perfect stats roll on it, he happily plays the game with his very, VERY rare and powerful weapon, then one day he teleports to save travel time and he happens to clip through some wall, being forced to do /kill. Then, the tragedy happens... He loses his perfect Pure. Because of this, he decides to drop the game because the team isn't willing to refund the item he lost on a situation he had no way to avoid. And the server loses a player.

Is that a very rare and specific scenario? Yeah. But my story is an hipothetical situation of how bad this issue can get. And this is a situation that is either you pray to god nothing happens, or you deal with the game's oversight at a potential cost of days and even months of in-game playtime's reward, all because of a stupid bug.

What would keep this from being abused?
Or you carry around a teleport scroll and/or have friends who can bring you one. It's definitely not a replacement for the suggestion, but it is a workaround.

Just chill. You said something short-sighted, there's nothing wrong with that. Sticking "sorry" in front of blatant sass doesn't make it an actual apology.

    Comments on the suggestion:
    - I could see it being anywhere between 2 to 5 soul points lost, given that it's hunted-exclusive.
    - Ideally the whole messed up soul point would be reworked, but this is a great solution for a serious issue.

    That's a valid point.
Making you lose stuff still if you're below 6(?) soul points is probably a good middle ground, so you can't constantly stay on low soul points while /kill panic buttoning.
And if you're stuck, you can wait to regen. Nice.

So if I'm about to die from mobs/players, I can /kill and be safe.

Since asking that question, I've considered a cooldown, where a player has to have not suffered damage for some time (five minutes is my recommendation).

Yeah but the devs should be the guys who fix the issue, not the playerbase.
Bringing a scroll around with me doesn't mean the issue disappears.
    Oh.
Then change the mythic by a full perfectly IDed set of legendary items or something super valuable.
    Yeah that sounds fair.

Legendary items can drop though, my very well IDed Almuj's Walker just did.
The point is to make the story a bit more realistic alright it is just a damn example don't nitpick the details this much, I just wanted to show an example of what could this theoretically mean.

but you didn't answer my question. and how does it make the story more realistic? it would make it frustrating and would cause people to just dont use mythics

Earlier in the thread, someone pointed out that the items Aya lost weren't very valuable, and Aya said that just because the items lost in this particular case aren't "valuable," that doesn't mean people won't/haven't lost valuable items, using legendaries with good IDs as an example.

Yeah. Originally their hypothetical situation was, "What if someone was forced to use /kill to get unstuck and lost a valuable mythic," but as mythics can't be dropped (something they didn't know originally) they changed their situation to a valuable legendary.
