I know it must suck, but the other player didnt technically steal from you and didnt scam you. When he picked up the item, although once being yours, is now his or hers. So that player is allowed to sell it back to you or keep it. But yeah, paying for something you had sucks.

I personally believe that a decent solution to this would be an Original Owner System (OOS): Which shows the original owner/identifier of the weapon/armor in its info text. This likely would not be the toughest thing to implement, although the issue of trading may be a problem still.

The tag could display the original owner along with the last person to hold the item. Although honestly, this would look terrible and out of place on the item interface.

He seems like quite the rude/disrespectful person. Wouldn't mind seeing him getting kicked from Hax (well, I'm not that mean, but he seriously sounds like a greedy dirtbag lmao)

I read the post, I saw your point, I have had a similar experience, and I say that it was your own fault. If you drop an item and someone else picks it up, it's not yours anymore. They have the right to charge you for the item because it's now their item. If you didn't want to drop the item, you should have paid attention to your inventory. You didn't think anything was off when you looked in your inventory and found a full set of armor missing? If not, it was your fault. I have accidentally dropped valuable items before, and when I did, I just picked them back up after realizing that I had just dropped something that I wanted to keep. No support.

I'm curious about your response, so let me pose a question. We have had issues in the past with skill points - the skill point loaded late and players were having their armor drop off. Now, we have an issue were accessories can drop off when a player changes servers or classes, and the loss of those accessories can cause the loss of armor. The player never intentionally dropped anything, however, a bug caused the armor or accessories to fall off. How would you deal with this situation?

From what I understand, the issue is that the player's armor and accessories are unequipped and, for some reason I won't question, drop out of their inventory when they join because their Skill Points didn't load fast enough. Can't they simply pick their items back up and re-equip them?

Pretty sure I would notice if I were missing two rows of hearts and my armor row, moving at a snail's pace, and dealing pitiful damage to mobs.

While that is true, in highly tense situations this may not be the case.

Let's say you are in a cramped area filled with a multitude of mobs, such as in Fantastic Voyage. Or perhaps grinding among players in a sea of un-identified items and emeralds. As you log back in, the accessory glitch activates and triggers the loss of a couple of skillpoints. This just happens to break the requirements for one of your valuable pieces of armor, which could also break the requirements of another piece. Now the questions is, do you rapidly search for the item among the masses or fight off all the remaining mobs?

Either way, there is a extremely high chance of death when you are on half of your maximum hp whilst being surrounded by a plethora of mobs. Now upon dying, another player in the vicinity picks up your lost gear and asks for a fee. Is that still rightfully finders keepers? You lost your items to a glitch, and you did not have the ability to casually pick up your dropped items.
Although you can claim that you would accept your fate if the event ever arose, I doubt you would be complacent if you lost something that you spent stacks of le on, only to have it be resold to you for more than you bought it for.

Additionally, there is no way you can notice that you dropped one of your accessories unless the skill points are tied with your armor. A small drop in stats such as -3 intelligence, -1/4 mana regen, -70 water defense, will not make you suddenly realize that you just lost an accessory. Also don't argue that accessories are worthless and only for small bonuses. Please take a look at a max stat prism and its cost. 1.5 stacks.

Also, don't take this as offensive, but I looked up your stats. Your highest level is only 42, and trust me, the price for items scales immensely. Losing something at your level is eh, a small setback. But around the 90s is when mythics and max stat legendaries begin to matter. Losing one of those key items is like hours or days of your life lost, and someone trying to sell that item is just simply spite.
