Voting Command

Basic idea:

Add a command that would send a voting link to the player

Ex:
/vote
[insert link here] pops up in your chat

 

as @joshaftelEXE mentioned elsewhere on the forums, i don't think this "get wynncraft to #1 on the server list by voting" thing was such a great idea.

think about it. the wynncraft vote rallying began around december 5-8th, from what i found (https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/vote-for-wynncraft.168422/ https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/vote-for-wynncraft.168259/ etc)
and just days later, a post is made saying to not fall for scammers (https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/scam-websites.169358/)

a likely reason for this coincidence is that scammers will look through server lists, and spam their links on the top 10/20/whatever servers on those lists.
by voting for wynncraft and helping it grow, we've probably ended up hurting it, even if only by a little bit.

 

And we were able to get rid of scammers

 

nah,i dont think it would be a good idea,if wynncraft be VERY famous,the server will be a shit

Hey, we can alreadyvote for the server, so why can't we have something to make it easier. Plus its OPTIONAL to vote

Isn't there a rule to prevent the spread of toxicity, plus:
More players = more staff and GMs right?

And notice, not every player that joins is going to spread toxicity, they can be helpful to the server

 

No, they're noobs who don't know what they're doing with their life and they're always bugging people for information about the server which is all over the wiki and the forums itself.

Not really, when I started out I was already aware of the wiki because of a friend.

If we don't help them get started, they will quit early. Wynncrafts player count would count would drop to older players leaving.

I also recall a staff member saying that voting is not EULA. Though I may be wrong

Not all newbies are annoying and retarded. BUT i will say that most noobs under the age of 10 are very god damn annoying.

 

Dont worry, those types usually leave wynncraft and i believe there is a rule that prevents spreading toxicity
