Make White Horses Easier To Obtain

Alright, I get it that it's supposed to be hard, but right now it's insane.

So each time you breed two horses, you have a 20% chance of getting a horse of the next level. Keep in mind that you have to use two horses, so for each horse, you have a 10% chance of getting the next level horse.

Let's say that you start with 200 brown horses. Statistically, if you bred them all, you would end up with 20 black horses, and 80 brown horses since you can't go below brown. If you bred those again, you would end up with 8 black horses and 32 brown, with a total of 28 black horses. Breeding the browns again gives you 3 black horses and 13 brown. 31 total black horses. Breeding the next few times leaves you with about 3 more, so lets say 34 black horses total. Breeding these leaves you with 3 chestnut, 5 brown, and 9 black. Breed the brown and you MIGHT get another black. with 10 black you will get 1 more chestnut. 4 chestnut TOTAL. Breeding these leaves you with a 40% chance of getting a SINGLE white horse.

tl;dr: So here you are, having spent almost 50LE, or 4800EB, or 307200 emeralds, to have a 40% chance of getting the horse. Seems crazy, right?

Keep in mind that these statistics are the average over time, so its possible to buy 8 brown and get a white on the first try, but the change of that is 0.16%, or 1 in 625.


Keep in mind that I did these statistics hastily and there are sure to be some mistakes. This just gives you a general idea.

How about we make the early-tiers easier to make? Black chances could be raised to 40% and chestnuts to 30%.

If you want to symbolize wealth why not add horse armor which can be equipped for a small speed boost? Diamond could be like 64LE.

And, yeah, it does some pretty hard to obtain. Unfairly hard. However, (I don't use horses, so sorry if I'm wrong), as far as I know, a white horse is REALLLLLLLY fast. I'm not sure how fast, but I'm pretty sure it's really really fast. If it's as fast as I think it is, then it's worth it for 50 LE... I think. It must suck to get two chesnuts, breed it, and then it goes back down or something.

As I'm not certain on, uh, anything, I'm not gonna vote. But you have a fair point... I think.

There is a reason why they're priced so highly on the market- You know that, right? It's perfectly fine the way it is.

 

Just curious, what's the generally accepted price for a 1/40 white horse and why.

 

Statistically, it would take 118 le and 62 eb on average to breed a white horse. Used to be around 50 le when you could get black horses for 1 le.

 

The whole point (this is coming from a guy with no horses) of breeding horses is that it is not easy to get the next tier. If everybody had a white horse, than whats the point of them being so great.

In the words of BS from the incredibles:

the statistics were set back when the vip horse merchant sold blacks for 1le, now with the current merchant (24eb for a brown) it takes 118le and 52eb to make a white horse.

Basically the only reason to have a horse is because you are too lazy to walk to some place and want to get there faster.
THIS IS THE PRICE YOU MUST PAY FOR YOUR LAZINESS.

 

I do agree that it should be hard to get, but not this hard. Since the removal of the vip town, the price has more than doubled. It has turned completely into a monetary investment, rather than the typical mmo time investment. There are better ways of making a white horse hard to get, but more obtainable.
