November 13th Tuesday
Woke up and spent the entire day managing the voting booth for the municipalities.

 

November 15th Thursday
Finished work at base and went home

 

November 16th Friday
Woke up and went to buy some stuff.
I bought wooly socks with pom poms on them for aya.
At the evening we went to my grandparents to eat Shabbat dinner.

 

November 17th Saturday
We woke up and drove to maalot to hike the ein kziv river track (20km).
It was awesome, we made some tea at the bottom and saw a snake.
The track was a bit hard so I got a bit sore but it had great scenery.
On the way back we ate at an Arabian restaurant.
Then we drove back home.

 

November 22nd Thursday
Finished work at base and went to Jerusalem to visit aya.
After that I went to the mechina for an army panel with other guys from the mechina.
Then we went and slept at nira's home (she was with me in the mechina).

 

November 23rd Friday
Woke up and took a bus north.
Got me some nice new cloths.
At the evening we went for a Kiddush at my grandparents, we ate soup and lasagna and a lot of compot.
I fell asleep on the couch there

 

November 24th Saturday
We went to a steak restaurant to celebrate my brothers recruitment and bought some more cloths for me

 

November 30th Friday
Went to the circus with aya and made burkas for her sister

 

December 1st Saturday
We made and ate focaccia for breakfast
Made some cinnamon rolls
Filmed some clips for aya's sister's bat mitzvah
We made chips for dinner

 

December 3rd Monday Hanukkah
We went on a field trip with the unit.
We started by riding camels in the Negev.
Then we drove to Eilat and went to a climbing wall there (it was fun), we also ate lunch there.
We got to our hotel in Eilat and ate dinner.
We also had an evening activity lead by our education commander.
Then we went on our own to tour the city.
I ate a burger and this
Then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep.

 

December 4th Tuesday Hanukkah
We woke up in the morning and ate breakfast.
We went to an area near the border with Egypt and our commander told us about a terror attack that happened there.
Then we went to a small hiking trail.
After that we went on a cruise in the red Sea and ate lunch on the boat.
Then we got on the busses and drove to the be'er Sheva central station.
I took a train north and a bus home and went to sleep.

 

December 5th Hanukkah
Went to a military memorial as a representative from my unit then went back home.

 

December 6th Hanukkah
Ate lunch with my grandparents then took a bus to Jerusalem.
I met up with my mechina at a mechina guide's house.
We made levivot and drank wine and cought up on the past months.
It was great.
After that everyone left and a couple of us stayed the night.

 

December 7th Friday Hanukkah
I woke up and took a bus back to haifa, aya also came.
We lit the candles with my family that night.

 

December 8th Hanukkah Saturday
We woke up late
Ate schnitzel and ravioli for lunch
At the evening we went to the German settlement in haifa (they decorate everything for Christmas and Hanukkah)
We had some warm Coco and then my parents picked us up and we went to eat and light the candles with my father's work friends.

 

December 9th Sunday Hanukkah
We to the train to aya.
We made a great noodle dish with a lot of veggies and spices.

 

December 10th Monday Hanukkah
We went to aya's uncle
We watched Lord of the rings at night

 

December 13th Thursday
I left base and went to help with aya's sister's bat-mitzvah
it was great and pretty fun

 

December 14th Friday
we woke up pretty early and went with aya's dad to a project he was working on.
he gathered groups of mechanics that built together little cars for handicapped children.
there were a lot of families there and some media
after that we went back to the kibbutz

 

December 15th Saturday
we woke up late and bakes cinnamon rolls ( if you haven't guessed already cinnamon rolls is our favorite pastry and became our specialty by this point)
