March 3rd Saturday
I had some fun with the goose but nothing special happened

 

March 4th Sunday
We woke up early and I walked Aya to her bus.
Then I took the gooseling for a walk and feed it.
Then I slept for a while and the gooseling slept on me.
I took a train home, I got my driving license in the mail.
Did a whole lot of nothing.

 

March 5th Monday
didn't do much
I decided to cut my hair to get used to the length the army requires
I have thick 10cm hair, my hair broke the machine
I finished the rest with scissors
aya isn't happy I cut my hair

 

March 6th Tuesday
I cycled 8km in the fields
made stir fry for dinner
tbh I don't do much these days

 

March 7th Wednesday
went to the optometrist to get new glasses (I want a spare pair before I draft)
I bought some groceries
Drove my dad to the airport
texted aya goodnight and went to sleep

 

March 8th Thursday
Woke up really early and took a bus to a military conference about what I'm going to do (I'm combat intelligence).
It's was cool, met the rest of the guys that will draft with me and a friend from the mechina (he will also draft with me).
After that we visited the mechina.
And then we took a bus to Jerusalem to have a discussion with the new Australians that came for the next year mechina.
By the time we got to Jerusalem haredim started protesting and for hours later they still stood in the entrance to the city stopping all the buses and care.
After for hours they finely sprayed them with anti riot spray (everything smelled like shit).
I helped another mechina navigate back to the central station on foot.
So meanwhile me and the guy from the mechina went to eat falafel and chill until it will blow over.
I was supposed to go to a comedy talk show two hours away at 7:30.
I only got on a bus at 7:30.
I went straight home, on the way I convinced a religious guy to go to a mechina instead of a yeshiva.
I got home, texted Aya I love her and went to sleep.

 

March 9th Friday
Woke up and made salad
Then I took a bus to a friend from the mechina, we had a little meetup, it was fun meeting everyone.
Then I went back home and we had Shabbat dinner with my grandparents.
After that I texted Aya I love her and went to sleep.

 

March 10th Saturday
We ever to visit my uncle's new home in a moshav.
We had a BBQ, it was yummy.
After that I talked with Aya and went to sleep

 

March 11th Sunday
I went to Aya's school to watch her theater class final. It was amazing.
After that we went home and ate some pasta.
After that we went to sleep (she still has another performance tomorrow)

 

March 12th Monday
Woke up and walked Aya to her ride to school.
Then I slept for a bit.
Then her mom drive me to the school and we watched the shows again.
I kissed Aya goodbye and too a bus to Tel Aviv.
There I met up with some friends and ate a burger, we say and talked for a couple hours then we split and I went home.

 

March 13th Tuesday
ate lunch with my grandma
at the evening I went with my other grandparents for sushi and movie night (the black panther)

 

March 14th Wednesday
went to eat at an Italian place with my grandparents
also picked up my things for the army.

 

March 15th Thursday
I made aya a birthday card and a red wax heart for her birthday (I'm drafting a day before her birthday)
I went to buy gifts for my third cousin's newborn
after that I took a train to aya
I got there at 1600 and we immediately fell asleep until 2000
we ate dinner and then went to sleep

 

March 16th Friday
we woke up ate breakfast and then we got on a train north
aya got off at tel aviv for a seminar for her year of service
I stayed on the train until I got home
on the way I met a friend from high school that drafted a couple of months ago, we talked until we got home
I went straight to my grandma, ate lunch there and then sept for an hour
then we met my third cousin with his wife and baby
we ate dinner together then we went home
I showered, texted aya and went to sleep.

 

March 17th Saturday
packed a bag for the army and watched some tv
the draft got me scared and depressed

 

March 18th Sunday
bought some snacks ill have just in case.
didn't do anything until the evening
I was still scared and depressed
I called aya and we talked for an hour
I cant remember the last time I cried but that night I cried so much
after the call I took a shower and ate dinner. I needed that call, we both did, its bringing our LDR to new distances.
I texted aya goodnight and went to sleep.

 

March 19th Monday
Downloaded a ton of music for my long ride tomorrow.
Ate pizza with my grandparents for lunch.
Slept for a bit.
Played some vanilla plus.
Made sandwiches for tomorrow.
Got a ton of calls from family members.
Updated my diary to present day.
Ate dinner.
Showered and now I'm just lying in bed dreading tomorrow.

 

March 20th Tuesday
Woke up and got drafted

 

Weekly update March 23rd
I drafted into combat intelligence
Currently I'm in the unit destined to be on the Syrian border.
My friend from mechina is in the lebanLe unit and a friend from home is in the Egyptian unit.
The commanders are harsh (I have the second hardest training) but it's ok.
It takes me more than six hours to get home from the base.

 

Weekend update March 24th
ate Shabbat dinner with my grandparents in Haifa
organized my bag for sunday
visited my grad grandmother and my grandmother Saturday night
im going to get a gun (a M16) his week
