October 7th
I woke up and ate breakfast
Then I went driving with my father to buy a new coffee machine
On the way back we picked up my brother and we went to the cinema with my grandparents (the other ones) and my cousin, we watched Kingsman 2.
After that we went to eat and I ordered a bowl of spicy wings (I still want a salad).
Then we took the bus home and I played around in the computer.
At the evening we drove to the hostel where we stayed for Yom Kippur to pick up a bag that a girl forgot.
After dinner I packed my stuff and couldn't really sleep.

 

October 8th
I woke up at 6 and got ready for the ride to the mechina
I took the bus to the central station and there I met up with a friend from the mechina, we took the bus together to the mechina.
There I packed my bags and we meet up with the other kids.
We drove to the start of the hike and hiked 9km with all the equipment on us (the way to Jerusalem is an ascending slope).
We got to where we were supposed to camp and started getting ready for the night, we had to lend a gas tank to another branch because there's was empty and we gave food to another branch because they didn't bring enough.
We made a stir fry for dinner which was great.
Then I put on thermic cloths and went to sleep.

 

October 9th
We woke up at six and packed our stuff.
We had cereal and bread w/ spreads for breakfast.
Then I helped others tie up their sleeping bags and mats and a friends made me sandwiches for lunch (a cottage cheese with chili sauce and corn sandwich and a hummus with pickles sandwich, I also took an orange).
Then we cleaned up the area and started walking.
After around four km a light rain stated so we didn't cover our bags because we were sure it will be over soon, then the storm set down on the valley we were walking in and we got soaked together with all of our equipment (I put my cost over my bag so some of my things were dry) then the clouds descended on us so we froze our butts off.
Mid way one of the Aussies popped her knee so the only staff member we had escorted her too the road and back to the mechina.
So we were walking with another branch of the mechina until we got to a place we could rest (another girl torn her shoulder ligament so I carried her bag).
So we stopped for food and reworking the hole cause if all of the equipment is soaked we can't sleep outside.
So we ate and I put on my thermic shirt and gave others what dry cloths I had.
Then they announced we will be going to the Jerusalem hospital on foot and that we will take public transportation from there.
So we walked another four km and took the bus to the mechina.
There we showered, I went to eat with some peeps at the cafe then we had dinner and I went to sleep early cause why not.

 

October 10th
We woke up at 5:45
By six we were all downstairs, I was cooking breakfast and the others were cleaning the mechina.
I made shakshuka (for 40 people).
By eight the mechina was squeaky clean and we were on the buses heading to Jerusalem.
We met by mt.Hertzel and split into smaller groups with the other branches on the mechina.
We started at yad vashem (Holocaust memorial) and walked from there to the graves on mt.Hertzel, there we ate lunch (sandwiches).
From there we took the light rail to the bazzar and were given some free time, I bought chips with honey mustard sauce and pink lemonade (in an amazing bottle).
Then I bought normal lemonade and we walked to the ancient city.
From there we went to the western wall, I tried to get to the new part (for both men and women) but it was closed.
Then we went to David's city to get some explanations and eat dinner, we ate rice potatoes and schnitzel.
Then I bought a strawberry lime drink and a jawbuster.
After that we went to the buses, I went back to the mechina, packed my bags and went with a friend on a bus to the nearby junction.
From there I took a bus to another junction in the south where I ran into my instructor that left an hour before me (her bus never arrived) so we got on the same bus to be'er Sheva, I for off at another junction and my gf picked me up, we got home and went to sleep.

 

October 11th
we woke up and ate breakfast
then aya went to a doctor cause she was feeling sick, turns out she has (not gonna say) she got prescribed antibiotics she ahs to take for 10 days twice a day.
that means that Im gonna sleep in another bed and that she gets her own mug and no one eats/drinks from her things (no kissing either).
so we ate lunch (rice, beans in tomato sauce and peas).
I helped her sister with her math homework and another girl through my phone with her biology research project.
then we were left alone home so we watched the voices (great movie I really recommend it).
after that we went to make poyke with her family and cousin, it was yummy.
aya left to make herself some tea and I stayed to talk with her cousins.
then I got back home and we drank tea and watched Sherlock with her sister.
after that we went to sleep, me on the top bed and she on the mattress on the floor, she couldn't sleep so she crawled into my bed at 5am and I hugged her until she fell asleep.
I let her sleep until 10am before moving away.

 

October 12th
as said above I let aya sleep so I covered her so she wont get cold and I watched videos on the mattress while she slept.
at around 11 she woke up and we went to the kitchen, she cant cook cause she is sick so I made her a sandwich with veggies and she took her antibiotics.
then her mother and I made pancakes, toast, tea and salad and we sat down to eat.
then I played with her brother for a while while talking to her.
then we went to nap in her room while reciting Romeo and Juliet.
we woke up and her mother brought her mashed potatoes and carrots .
after that we decided to watch baby driver we made it 15 minutes in and decided to nap instead.
then we woke up towards the evening and made pizzas and went to watch a show her sister participates in.
at 2000 the show ended and they gave me a ride to the train station.
we allowed ourselves one kiss on the lips as goodbye (I hope I wont get sick from it) and I went on the train.
I never have to buy a ticket because im in a mechina so I have free public transportation so no standing in lines for me.
when the train got to tel aviv I met a friend on the train so we talked and ate until we got home.
then I ate and showered , texted aya I love her and went to sleep.

 

October 13th Friday
I woke up early and ate breakfast with my parents (toast and avocado)
I didn't do much until the afternoon then I drove my parents and brother to a burger place where we met with our grandparents (I ordered a burger with cheddar peanuts and a sunny side up egg).
then I drove back and we took an afternoon nap.
towards the evening I went to the scouts building to welcome my younger brother (he just finished a hike and got his orange tie)
we then walked back and ate dinner
it was a pretty relaxing day

 

October 14th Saturday
I woke up and made myself a sunny side up sandwich with veggies and cheese.
After that my mother and I drove to the plant store to buy some flowers.
Then I drove my family to an Italian restaurant and we are worth my other grandparents.
I ordered pasta carbonara and it was amazing.
After that I went home to nap and play sc2 with Antra.
Then I took a break and ate a peach and came with my parents.
I spent the rest of the day packing and cleaning my room.

 

October 15th Sunday
I woke up at seven and said goodbye to my brothers and parents (work/school).
Then I listened to songs while eating cereal.
After that I joined the fox discord and held a small karaoke party.
Then I took a shower and went downstairs with my bags.
My grandpa picked me up and we ate schnitzels and soup for lunch.
Then he dropped me of at the central station and I took the bus to Jerusalem (napped on it for a while).
I got off at my junction and walked to the mechina.
I met with my friends and we spoke for a while.
Then we had opening of the week and then krav maga.
We had corn schnitzel for dinner and then a song lesson.
We started up playing too personal and went to sleep at midnight.

 

October 16th Monday
We woke up at 6:30 and went to do a boker tov (good morning).
At 7:30 we cleaned the mechina
8:00 we ate lunch
9:30 we had a class about Jewish texts
11:15 we had a class about Israel's history
At 12:45 we had a strength workout
13:00 lunch (drumsticks, potatoes and peas)
14:00 we had committee time so we worked on some projects and closed the schedule for the next weeks (I'm in content committee)
15:30 our counselor ran a class about Israel's constitution (we don't have one)
17:30 our instructor ran a class about her friend that died
At 19:00 we had dinner (pasta and tomato/rose sauce)
At 20:00 we had a meliaa and worked on our part and issues.
After that we sat around and played/ate/talked till midnight.
Then I texted Aya good night and went to sleep.

 

October 17th
woke up at 6 and went for an army workout
then we cleaned the mechina, I took a shoer, ate and got on a bus to tel aviv (8:20)
from tel aviv I took a train to nahariah, from there I took the bus to the hospital (12:20)
I got my jaw checked out and then started heading back south (2:20)
my grandma picked me up and we went to eat shwarma for 30 minutes and then I got on a train and another bus to the mechina.
meanwhile my brother went to the mechina (he has an army thing is Jerusalem tomorrow)
when I got to the mechina we ate, had family groups and then went to sleep

 

October 18th Wednesday
woke up at 6:30 and went to wake up my brother at the guest room
then we had a boker tov run by knowing Israel committee, they explained about the visit to abu gosh (a nearby arab village)
after that we cleaned and ate breakfast, meanwhile my brother left
at 9 we started a navigation class (how to pack your bag and set up a camp)
at 11 we had a current events class (I had to leave mid way to schedule in a lecturer and some other things)
at 11:30 we had parashat hashavua which was pretty boring
after that we had a strength workout
at 13:00 we had lunch
13:50 we started walking to abu gosh, and one of the dogs in the kibbutz followed us which was a bad idea as arabs are scared to death from dogs
first we visited the monastery in abu gosh, its a beautiful place and Olivia showed us around (he's a great guy) he served in the army and still is in uniform under his robes.
then we went to eat at abu gosh (they have great food)
we started heading back at 17:30
on the way back me and another kid grabbed some tires and rolled them back to the mechina,
at 18:00 we had a community committee class and they explained about activism day (on the 19th)
then we had dinner and a cleaning party.

 

October 19th Thursday
we woke up and had a headphones boker tov (we each choose a song and then switch phones
then we have to act out the song and the others have to guess it.
then we ate breakfast and got on a bus to Jerusalem.
then we walked to the mayor's thingy and had a debate with a yeshiva student which turned into "why don't you people join the army" (the ultra orthodox peeps don't do anything)
then we went to the main street and had lunch (I had some pizza, a roast beef sandwich, onion rings and a Schweppes)
after that we went to talk with the people of Jerusalem about activism and fixing the problems of the city, it was pretty depressing, they all gave up hope.
then we went to the jewish agency building to talk with the deputy mayor of Jerusalem (great guy)
then we headed back to the central station but had to go through the ultra orthodox protest https://www.timesofisrael.com/police-arrest-120-ultra-orthodox-protesters-in-anti-draft-day-of-rage/
we had to make our way through and drag everyone through the swarm
then we took a bus to the mechina but not everyone made it so they had to take the next bus and arrive an hour later.
when we got to the mechina we took showers, ate dinner and started a ted night
students gave us ted talks ranging from 20 minutes to an hour and a half.
we had plenty of subjects from "games" to "is god a thing?"
after that I texted good night to aya and went to sleep

 

October 20th Friday
I woke up at 7 and watched YouTube till 9.
Then I packed my bag in a big hitchhiker bag and went with there other peeps from the mechina to Jerusalem.
We went to the market and bought rasen challah.
Then we went to see a gelato place, didn't buy anything tho.
After that we went to buy jachnun at the bazzar, I also bought some mermelade and coconut snack.
We met the deputy mayor at the bazzar and said hi to him.
After that the three friends left so I just walked around, I bought two small shackles coz why not.
Then on the way to the central station I met the head of my mechina with his daughter so we talked for a while.
Then I went to the central station and helped a Brazilian girl to find her bus which was also my bus, we were heading to the same place so we took all the buses together and sat together.
When I got home I took a shower, ate, and watched the adventurers (basically an Asian mission impossible).
Then I met the Polish exchange student (my brother entered an exchange thingy)
I drove them to a friend's house and then went back home and ate dinner and went to sleep after texting Aya.

 

October 21st Saturday
I woke up at around seven and just played around on the computer and my phone for a couple hours.
Then I made myself a ham and cheese and omelette sandwich.
After that I drove my grandparents to a Thai food festival in a nearby town.
It was cool there, I got to tester a lot of stuff and drink some interesting drinks.
I also met the head of the mechina in tivon so I sat down with her and talked for a while (also played with her baby).
I also met the Thai ambassador and a lecturer from my gifted school.
Then I bought a box of ramen noodles (30 servings) and we drive back home.
There I talked with Aya, packed my bag, ate dinner and went to sleep.

 

October 22nd Sunday
I woke up at 7 and made myself a sandwich and finished packing.
Then my mother drove me to the central station and I took a bus to the intersection.
From there I took the bus with other peeps all the way to the mechina.
We started the week with a class lead by inbar which teaches us how to live in a group.
After that we had lunch
2:00 committee time
3;45 a class lead by yarden
Then we checked each other for lice
At 6 we did krav maga.
After that we had dinner and yael ran a song class

 

October 23rd Monday
Nothing really special, I donated blood and we started writing goodbye letters for the Aussies that will leave us.

 

October 24th
We had a navigation day to prepare for navigation week

 

October 25th Wednesday
We had peeps over to run a Jewish peoplehood quiz to collect data and we continued to write the letters during the rest of the day

 

October 26th Thursday
Processing day, we had activities as rooms and committees (it was great)
The we went up the mountain to continue writing letters to each other in the middle of nowhere
We had a quick lunch break of hot dogs and continued writing
We finished near nightfall so we started heading down.
Then we gave our the letters to each other and we were given time to read them (we cried a bit)
Then the staff cooked a three course meal while we had three dates for the three courses. (Lentil soup, hamburgers and chocolate cake)
It was a great day (I got great letters)
