Yuno's Ama And Diary, Latest Entry 8.3.19

May 30th
we woke up and snuggled a bit
then we woke up and had breakfast (challah bread, omelet, zfatit cheese, and a salad).
then we started making 300 boxes for a stand in the Shavuot festival and spray them with "Gat 75 Shavuot"

after that we started making a Shavuot feast for the family so me and Aya made sangria, peach cake and finished up the limonchello from last time (it still needs some time)
then we went to check out a fountain her father built for the festival, we played in the water for a while (we got soaked) so I took off my shirt and left it to dry on a chair outside (its still there)
so I took one of her shirts and we continued getting ready for the evening.
then all of her cousins came and we ate and drank (we had some fancy wine). we stayed up till midnight then everyone went back home and we went to sleep and snuggle.

 

May 31st
we woke up and ate breakfast
then we made signs for the stands in the festival.
after that we went to the nearby bedouin village and grabbed two baby sheep (I am a city guy and have never done this before)
on the way we saw a hawk chase after another bird.
when we got back we also gathered some geese, some chickens and smaller birds.
then we went to the festival and started setting up the petting zoo, we put a barrel and a wooden palate to prevent them from escaping (the chickens could still jump up the hay bales).
so Aya and I kept an eye on the kids and animals to make sure everything was alright, we had to put a geese away because it looked sick.
the rest of her family came to see how we were doing and they brought us cake and drinks.
then her father brought us the baby chickens and a baby duck so we had to make sure no one is squashing them or stepping on them.
then we let her mother take charge and we went to take a look around the festival and sit on the hay bales.
after that we went with her cousins to return the sheep and we stayed for tea and sweet pecan filled cookies.
then we returned home and we packed our stuff (she is also going away that day) so I helped her pack and left a love note inside each shirt I packed.
then we drove to the train station and we kissed goodbye.
I got to Haifa and took a bus home, by the time I got home it was past midnight.
so I showered, ate and went to bed by 0100.

 

I like baby animals, especially baby chickens :3

 

They run so fast tho

גם אם הרמה של הלימודים שלך לא ברמת תואר.. עדיין אני אשמח לשמוע על זה :)

 

בכיף, אני הייתי ממליץ לך ללכת ליום פתוח קודם אבל פספסת את של השנה. אתה יכול לקרוא על זה באתרים של האוניברסיטאות עד שאני אפנה לדבר

Sorry my dark Lord, I was merely asking Yuno about Biotechnology because I'm interested in it :)

 

בעקרון ביוטכנולוגיה זה שימוש של ביולוגיה לטובת המדע, למדת מקצוע מדעי כלשהו בעבר?

 

ממש אבל ממש לא!
אבל בתור ילד התעניינתי בדברים אחרים שלא קשורים ללימודים והאמת שעכשיו כבר די בא לי ללמוד חח.
בעקרון אני קראתי על זה ועל המחקרים שיש בהמון תחומים בתןך זה וזה ממש הדליק אותי..
עדיין לא סגור על זה סופית אבל :\
אתה יודע, לחץ של תואר ראשון וכאלה..

 

זה הרבה מעבדות ומלא חומר לזכור, אני הייתי ממליץ לקבוע שיחה עם סטודנט או מישהו מהתחום (אני רק לומד את זה ברמה של בגרות)

June 1st
I woke up at 0700 and made myself breakfast and some sandwiches for lunch
At 0800 my mother drove me to Haifa where the bus for my mechina waited.
I met with 2 other girls from the area and we got on the bus.
We then picked up half of the Australians from teberia and drove to mt.barkan.
There we met up with the rest of the mechina.
We we're split into four groups and went to the top of the mountain to talk about the view.
Then we came down and drove a bit to the start of our hiking trail.
During the trail we talked and met each other (pretty cool people).
At the end of the hike we got to a spring (it was freezing cold) so we all got in.
After a hour or two we got out, ate and got on our busses to beit zera.
There we got ready to sleep in a big hall and split into two groups.
Groups 1 and 4 (I'm in 4) will make dinner and groups 2 and 3 will clean up.
We made poika, two pots of beef and wine, two pots of chicken curry with peanut butter and coconut milk, one vegetarian, one paprika chicken and one chicken pot without onion (we had a girl that is allergic to onions).
It was delicious.
After that we stayed up a bit and chatted.
We went to sleep at around 1am

 

June 2nd
We woke up at 0600
Ate breakfast (it was decent for a field meal).
Then groups 1 and 4 went to talk about some texts and Jews in and outside of Israel. (2 hours)
Then we had a break for half an hour.
Then we had a self defense class, mostly freeing yourself from grabs and chokes. The trainer like to make us stand on our knuckles (my finger joints are still purple).
After that we packed our stuff and went on a bus to the sea of Galilee.
There we splashed around in the water for a bit then we sat together and talked about the mechina.
Then we each got on his bus home and drove off.
My bus dropped me off in yokneam but it's Friday and once the Sabbath sets in there is no public transportation. So I took two busses and after three hours I was home.
There I unpacked my bags, ate, showered and went to sleep.

 

June 3rd
The purple flowers I got for my birthday started to die from little insects so I went and brought them some Rosemary (Atari oils drive insects away)
That's pretty much it.

 

I know, they taste delicious!
