Hey everyone, it's almost been a month since the last update but rest assured I've been working towards an update for the resource pack with some new weapon models in addition to a project I've been working on secretly as well that should see a release in the near future. Recently I was asked to also join the Wynntils Content Team as an artist so a lot of my free time has been taken up working alongside them and their great mod, I highly recommend everyone checks out their mod here if you haven't already.

As for the other project I've been working on, it is another resource pack called Wynnic Vanity Collection that in many ways will resemble other resource packs for Wynncraft such as Wynn Improvements by aws404 that adds various general improvements to the game through the use of features in Optifine. Aws404 hasn't found the time to update his resource pack recently since joining the Wynncraft CT so I decided to take on another project that adds new assets for different game elements similarly to Wynn Improvements especially for a lot of the new stuff that was added and changed in 1.18. This will include new models and textures for materials and ingredients that are found in-game and perhaps unique mob models, interfaces, connected textures and block variants in the future.

Here's a preview of the type of models you can expect in the new vanity pack, these will be rendered in the player's inventory:



As for the initial release of the resource pack I plan to include unique models for all the unprocessed materials for both mining and woodcutting professions as well as including some quality of life changes to various GUI elements that are found in-game such as icons for the world selection screen, shop icons to more so resemble the type of shop that they represent, custom textures for all teleportation scrolls to different locations and unique textures for some ingredients that can be collected from the world. Currently I can't give an exact date to when the release will happen but as I complete things that will become more telling.

With that being said I want to quickly thank everyone for 300 downloads on Wynnic Uniques Compendium with being released just over a month ago that wasn't something I expected so thank you for the support and kind comments you guys have left, it keeps me very motivated to keep making new stuff!

although, i'd suggest making Ignis smaller (from what i see in the screenshot, it is humongous)

 

Thank you for the kind words, in one of the recent updates I did make Ignis significantly smaller so you should take a look at it in-game if you get the chance.

 

Question How do u live? and Can You Do Legendaries Since you don't live?

 

I do wanna eventually expand to Legendary skins but I want to finish all the Mythics first, right now I'm in the middle of overhauling some of the existing Mythic skins for weapons such as Stratiformis and Ignis to make them appear more unique as you'd expect them to be so I would guess that some elements from their current skins will be carried over to their Legendary counterparts like Gale's Force for Stratiformis and Hellstrand for Ignis.

I just wanna mention that with the tier 11 tools, the skins are mixed up. I think the hoe was the pick axe skin or something like that.

 

Yes, I’m aware of the issue and will be fixed in the next update, thank you for the report.

 

Quick update for everyone, the next update for Wynnic Uniques (0.5) should be coming out in a few weeks from now as I put some finishing touches to the new models, just to be clear I'm really upping the quality on the weapon models going forward now so they do take quite a while to finish from concepting, modelling, texturing and animating them one by one. For now here's a quick preview of a few new models you may expect in the update!



These are just some of the new weapons I've been working on, from left to right they are Fatal, Stratiformis and Infused Hive Dagger. All of them have animations as well but that's difficult to convey through screenshots so you'll have to wait for the update to come out before seeing those, thanks again for all the support!
