Been working on these for a little bit now, all the mythic boots now have a unique model for their items as well as skins when they're equipped!

Thanks, I kinda interpreted it as ensuing panic in the user more so then in the skin itself. I do agree it could be more sinister.

Agreed, looks super cool, I'm hyped for this next version. I can guess a few of them, but from left to right, could you name which boots each skin is for? And is that first one just a generic diamond boot skin?

 

From left to right they're Boreal, Dawnbreak, Crabs, Galleon, Moontower, Resurgence, Revenant, Slayer, Stardew, Warchief, Leather Boots (part of the base set).

I'm still working on chain, iron, gold and diamond base set variants but they'll also be included.

I'm fairly certain, you are, in fact, correct!
I can't be sure about that item exactly, but there's one common trend in every item from SE,
They all imply some form of mutation or mental disorder.
This is on purpose, as it's a way of showing SE effects on the player, without adding some sort of sanity system.

My favorite example is all of the EO items, which mostly start with "The" to imply the player holding it is what has whatever negative the item is.
For example:

In this case, you are Forsaken.

Or in this:

It implies the player feels like "Nothing."

Either way, every SE item is like this, I think it's kinda cool.
Seriously, check every SE item, they all imply some kind of prolonged negative from the place.

 

Wow, very interesting! I always knew there was some interconnected trend with all those items, especially the EO weapons, and I was just thinking today about what it could be. This was an aha moment for me, and I realized just how specific and fitting it is.

 

Yeah, the only thing that doesn't follow the trend is Orante shadow, but they instead of -soul point regen as a flavor stat, which is supposed to show your soul leveling your physical body, you know, kinda like the quest you get it from XD

Not currently, I made the boots only because of the mythics.

 

The resource pack doesn't work now. I think its because all weapons have been set to one item, for example the default2 dagger, which used to be coal ore, is now shears. All daggers are shears, all bows are bows, all wands are sticks, and all spears are iron shovels.

 

1.20 broke it. you will have to wait till the texture pack gets updated

You probably know this but each of the EO weapons reference parts of SE too! This further adds to the effect imo. It shows how each part has had its own effect on the player

i wonder how many of the legendaries are gonna have custom models
