I was recently banned from Wynncraft for "Exploiting" and would just like to complain about the rule system in place.

I was doing Corrupt Underworld Crypts Dungeon and performed an exploit to skip a certain stage (can't say as it is bannable obviously). However, it turns out that being an continuous player for Wynncraft and spending well over $300 on Wynncraft purchases can all be taken away from me for skipping a stage in a dungeon. I understand now there were punishments for performing a dungeon glitch, but a perm ban was a bit excessive...

So, like any normal Wynncrafter I created an appeal, turns out that was somehow impossible so I had to manually find the Mod that banned me and start a conversation with them privately. Luckily I got my appeal accepted, on the otherhand, I quote "glitch abusers are not unbanned until a glitch has been patched." In my opinion this rule is stupid. Why would i re-perform a glitch after just being unbanned, wouldn't that just get me banned again but with no chance to appeal? What is the point in accepting an appeal and still not unbanning me...

This glitch (again not telling anyone how to perform) has been out since the dungeon was first released, and I am clearly the 1st one to be banned for it, because after the moderator MANUALLY fixed it and refused to unban me still. This rules are insane and have no good meaning towards them. So now I probably have to wait a few more years to get unbanned (may as well have been a denied appeal) so all my money to wynncraft has been wasted because I moved in a way that i shouldn't have. I never used a client or used foul language, i moved, so now I can probably never play Wynncraft again...

Thanks QA Management and Server Admins!

Seeing as you thanked me, I'll take a few minutes to respond to you.

Our Game & Forum Rules are pretty clear about not exploiting glitches:
    upload_2020-6-17_14-4-9.png
So, whenever a player gets caught breaking that rule, they get banned. It is our normal procedure to not unban any player for abusing a glitch, until we have fixed the glitch.

What anyone spends "on Wynncraft" makes absolutely no difference to how we treat our players. You can spend nothing, or you can spend thousands; it does not matter. If it did, that would be very unfair to players who cannot afford to make any purchases, or whose parents won't allow them to make any purchases. Also, some players cannot make purchases due to restrictions set by their countries. So, your argument here, in all fairness to everyone, is invalid.

This has been Wynn policy since Day 1 of the server. It is usually the policy of all Minecraft servers, except for griefing servers.

We are doing some behind-the-scenes work, in order to improve the player experience across parts of all of Wynn's media. As a result of this, our forum automatic ban appeals are not working. For anyone. And we apologize for the inconvenience to anyone who is banned, and wants to file an appeal.
As to not getting unbanned until a glitch is fixed, that is an across-the-board rule for any and all glitch bans. We don't normally allow players back onto our servers, until the glitch is fixed, because, historically, that didn't work out. It became a game of cat-and-mouse, and that spoiled it for everyone. And because some glitches can be very damaging, like duping, we hold a very negative view of glitch abuse. If you want to blame anyone for that policy, you'll have to find out, on your own, who did that. We won't discuss bans of other players with anyone other than the banned player.

It may have been out since the dungeon was released, I don't remember for certain, but that has nothing to do with anything. It's quite possible that you were the first to find it, it's also possible that someone told you or that you observed someone exploiting it. It doesn't matter. As I said, above, if someone is caught exploiting a glitch, they will get banned. For the record, you weren't the first member of the community banned for exploiting that glitch, if I remember correctly. And while the glitch may be fixed, that only means that it is fixed on our build server. That doesn't mean that it's fixed on the game servers. And it might not be fixed ingame for a while. Hence, if you tell anyone about the glitch, you might not be unbanned for a very, very long time, if ever.

Hopefully, it won't take that long for the problem to be updated and fixed on the live servers. Generally, it never has been.

I know that you're being salty, however, you're welcome for the explanations, and I mean that most sincerely.
    Cordially yours,
    QA Management

Well in the first place, why risk using an exploit when you know there are repercussions and you know you’ve spent a lot of money on the game?

    This.

The only thing I have ever ""exploited"" was dyeing my cosmic armour, ( which I'm pretty sure wasn't a bannable glitch anyway ) because I realize that exploiting bugs will get me banned.. It's really not a hard concept to grasp. If you invest hundreds of hours into something, why would you risk losing access to it

The thing is that this glitch is pretty common and widely known by a lot of the Wynn community. A glitch like this isn't any worse than the exploit that allows you to dye your armor, since it doesn't harm players in any way, unlike other glitches which can actively hurt other players (ex. Glitches that introduce massive amounts of LE into the game, therefore inflating the economy). I'm pretty sure that this exploit is so widely used that people don't think that it's a bannable offense, especially since the glitch doesn't appear to be serious at all.

Rip, all the man did was fall off into the void to save 30 seconds on a dungeon, his dungeon party probably pressured him into it too.

If you find glitches like this, even if they are widely known, please still report them - unless you see existing reports, it's likely we weren't aware.

Yeah thing is a strong % of players know about this glitch. It’s not like it’s a super obscure glitch that no one knows about.

We weren't aware. If you don’t see any existing reports in the first few pages, it's best to report the bug, since there's a strong chance it hasn't been reported.

I mean, exploit a glitch, get banned. It shouldn't matter is the glitch is widely known, it's a glitch. You can't rob a bank and then complain when you're arrested that you were unfairly punished or that you weren't warned. It doesn't matter that you had money in that bank and were a faithful customer or whatever, you still robbed it. Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think that having a rule against exploiting bugs is unfair, nor is it unfair to enforce that rule even if the person exploiting it has donated (hell, it'd be against the EULA if that did let you get away with it).

Really dude? you skipped parts in cur? What the hell is there to skip? It's easy as hell to do, plus you're most likely still getting massive amounts of xp per run. I don't even care that you exploited, but the fact that you exploited something this dumb, and proceeded to complain about it, well that's dumb.

Somehow by paying you think you are granted immunity. hella wrong.
"skipping a stage in a dungeon", mate, you cheated and you knew you shouldn't have cheated.
"all my money has been wasted because I moved in a way that i should't have", you wasted your own money because YOU CHEATED AND YOU KNEW YOU CHEATED AND YOU KNEW THAT IT COULD GET YOU BANNED.

It’s true that he cheated.. but this situation looks like a smaller version of something on the news (not saying what, may be offensive)

The thought of something like that here terrifies me...
