    Probably increasing both elements' damage, then chaining off of one mob in the AoE of courage or something.

    Anyway... Yeah, idk what this is... I think it's combined specials, as it includes "usually safe, right?", inferring that it's unsafe.

    1. New particle effects for the shop.
    2. Combined powder specials.

    Actually I think that it makes an entirely new, although similar ability. For example, thunder+water creates a DOT that attaches itself to affected mobs, Fire+Thunder could create a damage boost that chains itself between players for longer ranged damage boosts, quake+air could create a quake "repulsion zone", where mobs are knocked out of the area repeatedly for a duration, etc.

    Maybe it's for swarms?

    It may show the point of where the mobs will spawn based on this particle effect appearing. After all, swarms are the most hyped upcoming feature, so there could be a chance this is related to swarms.

    I believe combining powder specials was a feature that was meant to be added, but it was too much work at the time to make the schedule. Not only that, but 'Chain-Curse' was the example used, so I can only think this alludes to that.

    Here are my theories:

    1) It's just a new particle effect in the shop
    2) It's something to do with the Detlas barracks, once my chunks crashed and i saw some sort of mossy-cobblestone passage under there.
    3) Hallowynn quest
    4) mixed powders
