"The corruption is an evil army from another dimension. Any place that is corrupted turns into red stone and grows dark spikes."

 

"Sounds different of the corruption I thought of... Anways please continue"

 

"The corruption started about 1000 years ago when a miner discovered The Nether Portal since then it has ended civilizations, created ones, killed tens, hundreds and thousands of people, It has slowed down in progress but it is still progressing and the undead armies are almost infinite"

"Pardon me your honor but I know a thing or two about this, though I have to ask you is that it?"

 

"Not all. The armies are led by Bak'al and The Corruptor of Worlds. The legendary hero Bob has held them at bay for years, but with his death, the corruption has grown in strength. I gathered you, the strongest fighters my guards could find, so that you might stop the armies, and destroy the corruption forever.
"Recently, one of our largest cities, Detlas, was attacked by the corruption. This has led to a state of urgency, and we need a resistance, and fast."

 

“So then where do we start”

 

"Wait..." Min steps up to the front of the group. "This group is the strongest fighters you could find?" Min looks unconvinced. "I can't perform magic and-----" Min stops her train of thought but it was clear she was going to say that some of the people chosen were questionable. "Maybe you should try a more thorough search because I think you got the wrong people.'

 

"I can sense magic in each and every one of you. Specifally, Bob's magic. It appears Bob has chosen you to be his successors... and you could be great heroes in the future."

 

“Who Bob be?”

 

"Bob was a legendary hero, born generarions ago, even before I was alive. He was trained by some of the greatest weapon masters in the province, and become the greatest hero Wynn has ever seen. He slew thousands of corrupt, and nearly stoppeed it for good. However, fourteen years ago, he went on a quest to kill the Dern Beast, the creature that started the corruption. He has never been heard from since, but he is presumably dead."

 

Xylina at first doesn't seem to happy with the situation and sees it quite boring

When she heard the king say so, her heart got pumped up and she got excited
"This could be my ultimate chance" She quietly said

"Understood, but may i have a few questions?"
"How exactly did you find us and determine we're bob's successors and when shall we begin the journey?" She said to the king hastily in a high and excited tone

 

"There are magicks far more powerful than even the elves know of." For a split second, the King's fancy robe is replaced by a set of battle armor, then reverts back to robes. "As for the journey, do not make haste. A good fighter knows patience, and wars are not won quickly. After all, the corruption war has been occuring for the last 998 years.
"You must train and prepare yourselves to go into battle. The world is far bigger than you think."

 

Xylina feels quite embarrassed as her status as an elf is usually seen as wise

"Hmh..."
She thinks for a bit... She looks quite troubled and her mind seems to have gotten quite busy
"Wait i have another important question.
Are all of us here gonna be adventuring together the whole time?"

 

"Presumably, yes. You all share the spirit of Bob within you. You must learn to forget any hatred or distaste, and ally yourselves together."

 

She looks very troubled when she hears that and feels uncomfortable

"Understood.." She replies to the king then she backs away behind everyone else where she can see everyone clearly
she quietly observes everyone there with the corner of her eye, making sure they don't imitate suspicious aura and they're trustworthy. Adventuring with others isn't her motto and she has a bad gut feeling about this now, might be due to her past but she doesn't like hanging out with others for a very long time

She quietly awaits the rest of the group to finish their discussion and questions so they can head out and begin their lifelong adventure.
(ok i think that makes it obvious what i'll be doing now lol)

 

"This seems all well and good, but If this Bob guy could do this all alone then why do you need all of us?"

 

"Bob did not simply choose only one of you. He chose six, to journey together and finish what he started."

 

Johan calmly listens to everything, but gets a little upset and disappointed to the words that we'll need to travel together. Decides to keep all his thoughts to himself, though.
"...Understood... is there anything else, all-powerful king?"

 

"About the corruption, no. About your quest... Meet with my general in the training yard." The king sits back down in his throne. "For the Light!" he shouts, and the guards nearby repeat him.

 

"For the Light!" I shout out aswell.
The training yard is reached by going through the eastern road, and turning left after passing the bank, and through the tunnel. I go exactly there.

 

"The Light isn't as high and mighty as you think..." Xylina quietly says to herself


"So uh... I haven't seen an Inn in the city, Where exactly are we gonna spend the nights?" Xylina asks the party, hoping they're more familiar with Wynn and know where to go.
