there's 3d textures and then there's fully animated 3d models, which resource packs dont support in vanilla afaik. otherwise there wouldn't be a need for resource packs like fresh animations to require optifine, and they would just function in vanilla. it's also not just 3d models, it's also hitboxes and collision boxes because just changing the models and animations would mean you couldn't hit them in areas that are outside of the original mob's model. so no, i dont think this is just a vanilla resource pack, but probably a resource pack working with server-side magic.

 

I think I get why this was needed before Fruma: if we want something really new we need a better system for the content team to create stuff with... The new models look amazing hope to see them soon (^-^)

 

I hope Maro Peaks will be reworked in this new update

 

As well as the Canyon of the Lost!

 

since we are getting the Canyon Of the Lost lootrunning camp this update we are likely to see some improvements to getting around like the voidholes in SE, geysirs in Molten Heights and clouds in sky islands

 

Do you guys think that there are going to be any lower level camps? I honestly don't see why there would be anymore in existing areas...

 

I think the lowest we’ll get is a Cinfras county lootrun, since you can only sign up for lootruns at level 75 minimum

 

The only place in wynn I can think of is Dernel Jungle...

 

I think in the following order of releases/importance:

• Realm of Light (if the SE has one then this should also have one too. it'd help give a reason to come back aside from NoL)
• Gylia Plains & Cinfras County
• Light Forest & Aldorei Valley (it's more of a lv 70-75 region but it could give another reason to come back)
  
• Kander Forest (same note as lf & av but I'm more iffy on this as it feels lower-levelled than lf)

I doubt Dernel will get one bc it's more of a lv 60-70 area and there's barely any content beyond that. I could see it though.

 

Realm of Light lootrun camp would be omega weird lore wise.
Also Light Forest is to the Realm of Light what the Silent Expanse is to Dern, that being the area that holds the portal to the realm

 

I mean canonically the player themselves set up the SE lootrun camp, so I don't see why they can't do it for RoL.

 

I honsetly don't think we'll see Lootrunning camps lower than cotl. I can't back it up with any reasoning honestly except the current areas we have are also the areas that people used to lootrun before. It's just a hunch I have, I can't explain it.

 

Theoretically yeah but also RoL only has like 2 caves. It’s also really really small and would be really cramped and too easy to run. I doubt that there’d be a lootrun camp there. I think the lowest we’ll get is Cinfras County, but idk if people would actually lootrun there since the chest loot would be level 75 ish

 

Yea probably. I think the Gylia Plains, Cinfras County, Light Forest, and Kander Forest used to be niche yet still kinda viable areas to lootrun mainly cuz you could get Pure there. I wouldn't be too surprised if it just stopped with CotL though and the next ones will be in Fruma or smthn like that, so yea.

Good point. Even though there's only 2 caves there though I still think an RoL lootun could work, the main form of challenges and content there would be slaying mobs and bosses, as well as defending and destroying stuff. RoL just has a lot of potential and I kinda want some parts of the realm to be as cool as some others and give a reason to go back that isn't NoL. Perhaps an RoL challenge could appear for a Light Forest lootrun if that'll ever happen.

 

what about CotL?

 

Ooooh yeah that last thing is actually a great idea. Like how Sky has challenges in the void, though tbf LF/RoL and sky/void are very different comparisons. I’d love to see an update that makes RoL bigger though, but that’s unlikely to happen. Maybe when Dern comes out, and it seems fair considering that the Blueshift Archipelago alone is bigger than RoL and that’s just a part of Dern.

I think RoL is small because the Light was literally dying until you saved Orphion. Lari says that she remembers it being much bigger when she last visited... Therefore, I expect Dern to be really big as it has likely expanded in response to growing in power

 

I agree with this thought - I feel like they'd save any future lootrun camps for Fruma.
