im confused, do i just put the rar file into the .mods folder or do i first open it?

 

Open it and put the .jar and folder that's in the .rar into your mods folder

It should be, but I personally use it on 1.10. just try launching and if doesn't work then there's your answer

also, is there a way to use 5zig with this mod?

 

There shouldn't be any clashing features so I'd assume so. Try to install them alongside each other and check for yourself (I don't use 5zig)

 

Not sure how complicated, but if possible could you add an item lock? I think that is a good feature of WynnEnhanced, but i dont want to actually get WynnEnhanced.

 

Agreed. WynnEnhanced is great, but not for toaster users like me, and the creators aren't that user friendly.

 

Btw ... just wanted to note that if you put (I think) anything before the text* your game will crash :)

Of course it will crash the game, i did make a guide that explicitly says you're not supposed to change anyhting besides color and show..

And no, i'm not making an item lock. I've found it to be pretty useless. It seems server side bugs making you lose items are a much higher possibility

 

I hope it gets the 1.8.x compatibility...
Are you planning to do that? A ton of members would be really thankful to you for that, because there's no Item display mod for 1.8 yet, or at least I didn't find it

Man, you saved my life.

 

Mod was working fine for few days, and now all of a sudden it's causing my game to crash.

Updated java/got older versions of java, re-installed forge, re-installed the mod, re-installed the minecraft, nothing, always the exact same error.

Anyone has any idea how to fix it?

Glad to see I'm not the only one.
Funny thing is, nothing changed in the meantime, or at least, not that I'm aware of. No updates were ran before it started crashing.

 

if it suddenly stopped working it must be something wrong with the database updating. i'll try take a look at it. In the meantime. Did you try replacing the itemdatabase file with the old one you got by downloading the mod and adding a bunch of numbers to the timestamp inside?

What that would do is make mod not update because it thinks the database is not old, if that works then i know where the problem is.
