Tool Wynncraft Item Name Display [mod]

Nice mod idea, This is the thing I was trying to avoid with SHCM Wynn, I do not want tons of calculations to display the item name, my version is not that complicated,
but maybe it will work if you install both my mod and yours and hit disable in my mod options, IF you are willing to put those calculations constantly running on your minecraft...
That's the beauty of seperated mods and not those stupid modpacks with tons of things you cant remove and they lag your pc..(not implying anything)

 

Tons of calculations? Doesn't seem so, most items are emeralds, and emeralds are checked first in my mod, only if the item isn't an emerald, a powder, a junk item etc, does it go and check the huge database of items.

Also, it works every 40 ticks i think which is very slow, i can always make it update slower in case it's laggy, i mean i don't care if i see item name 1 milisecond after an item spawns or 2 seconds after.

Oh, and i think i could add a warning if a mythic item appears, that would make me more at ease when farming

And yes, wynn enchanced did lag my pc to death, especially when changing shards, but that's mostly because of the texture pack i think. I also like not having to open twitch app to play the game xD

 

Perhaps you could make the warning configurable with different item types?

 

I could, but i see no reason to warn about anything other than like tier 4 powders and mythics. Maybe legendaries, but i have 1 character full of legendaries and nobody wants to buy them.. The warning is supposed to be something that happens very rarely and only for the best items you really don't want to miss. If i miss a legendary i don't feel too bad, but i'd feel like crap if i missed a mythic or tier 4 powder.

 

FYI stokers, updraft, curador boots, barbarian, corsair are recognized as unknown items, will update this as soon as I find more

 

No need, i just figured out how to update the database today, ill update the mod to automatically update database soon

Hey, firstly great job on this awesome mod, I'm loving it. Would or could you make a exp display mod? I'm sure the community and I would really appreaciate it. Again, you don't have to but just asking. :D

 

Sorry, i only make the mods i'll use, seeing xp amount is useless to me

What i can say though is that an xp display mod should be piss easy to create, so if you feel like learning coding a bit, it's not a bad thing to do

 

Updated with the automatically updating database, now the mod checks if the item database is older than 3 days, and if it's old, updates it :D

You should stop seeing a ton of "Unknown Item" s now.

 

could you maybe be more clear with how you install the mod?
it downloads as a single zip file for me then when i load minecraft it dosent work....
i tried opening and putting the jar into mods but then items all just say unknown items....
should the database go somewhere or should the thing be one single jar file?

 

Here's from how to intall:

>1) Put the mod.jar file and the folder in your mods folder

So yeah, the wynnitemdisplay folder goes to your mods folder with the mod jar

I'll try make it not need the folder later, but it seems easy enough to just drag things out of a rar

 

Tried that, seems to be only able to show names for powders

 

Weird, try downloading the mod again and replacing the files. Just recently i uploaded a version with a bug but i removed it fast and replaced it with the working one..

 

So what Minecraft version is this for? I's like it to not be 1.8 so i can use my item reskins, but confused since others think it is better in 1.8

Might be getting this since my Curse/Twitch desktop thing won't download right.

That is if there's an option for other versions.

Really nice mod,and 100% better than wynn enhanced cuz tbh that modpack is good only for grinding,and it uses Curse so uh no,really nice work,this probably doesen't work on 1.8 right? xd Going to be using 1.8 until I'll be forced to move on 1.9+ lol

 

Is there a chance for a 1.8.9 version? I want a weapon name mod without the weird melee in 1.9+ and I don't know how to code .-.
