    I would also like to say that I just glanced over the 100 latest threads in the questions section and didn't find a single thread where a problem seems to have been caused by a mod. Which of course I could have missed them, but still seems to be a far cry from what you described as cluttering the section and slowing down fixing actually important issues.

    Anyway, so I'd like to take a look at your second statement again:
    1. I don't think anybody who uses mods does so purposefully with the intention of breaking parts of the game so that they can no longer enjoy it. In addition to that, I think we've established that at least the current Wynn mods available do not actually break the game as you say it does and thus your first point must be considered invalid.
    2. As we all know, displaying the rarity of unidentified dropped items is no longer allowed and you haven't mentioned anything else so I can only assume you have no other points to back up this statement.
    3. I don't believe that again, the breaking of rules, like the breaking of the game, is done intentionally (as with the duplication glitch you mentioned) or in the case of the displaying of item rarity, was fine for a long period of time before it was decided that it should not be allowed. In both cases, the developers of the mods were quick to fix the issues and so this is hardly a substantial argument.
    4. A biased conclusion drawn from the rash statements of a certain ill-tempered individual that should not be used to describe all Wynn (or non Wynn) mods.

    To summarize, I believe that your reply is quite the misrepresentation of your average mod user and is more like a personal outlet of frustration and disdain towards mods rather than a well meaning satirical comment.

    It's aight man, we all make mistakes. Since it's pretty much public info by now though, the typo was a cover up story for finding out who'd deliberately exploit the mod, after which those versions were banned, with the chance to appeal without losing the chance for second chance

    That's kind of a bad analogy. Using mods on Wynn is more like taking extra school courses at the cost of your actual subject grades getting worse.

    I'd like you to point out a source for this information? I've been one of the most active members here for quite a while, and never actually heard a thing about this, and can't find any info about it. It was never advertized officially or mentioned by an admin either, so the only source it could've come from is the community (which includes content team and moderators. While they work for the game, they're still equilavent to normal community members when it comes to knowing about internal admin business, such as .org not being official.). Since Wynn could be played through it, there was no reason to doubt it, until JP noticed that a chunk of users were logging in from a suspicious ip; That being play.wynncraft.org's.


    This still doesn't change the fact, that play.wynncraft.com is the only ip that's ever been officially advertized on Wynn's sites, and recommended by all admins. There was no good reason for enhanced to use it instead of the official ip, which is plastered throughout all of Wynn's platforms.


    It might not have been difficult to change, but people didn't know there was a reason to change it either. It was the default of enhanced, it connected people to Wynn, the used ip wasn't stated anywhere, and the ip couldn't be changed in the traditional way, hence people ignored it.


    If I'm unsure about something or don't have a strong reasoning to give when asked, I won't make claims to begin with. If you want sources, proof, or an explanation on why I think something specific, I'm more than happy to provide it to the best of my abilities. I also have inside information about things due to being active in the CT for 2 and a half years, and relevant info about a lot more due to spending most of my day on Wynn's discord and forums. In case you want it, here's some things to back my words in the last reply:
    This should actually be quite obvious, but here's a quote from JP for the hecks of it:

    I was a QA, and resolved 400 forums issues during my time. Whenever an unsuspecting mod user experiences an issue with the mod, they're asking the official bug reports section to resolve it, pushing relevant issues downwards. The bug reports history is public, so you're free to check it on it's own aswell.

    More complaints about bugs also hurts Wynn's public reputation as being even more broken than it actually is. Simple observation, made from both the forums and discord.

    There's also a problem with mods hurting Wynn's motto of "No mods required". People see that there are specific mods for Wynn, and draw the conclusion that it requires mods or other extra to play, driving off potential players. Just another observation, made mainly from the few of these people who take their time to join discord and ask what's the "official" required mod for Wynn. Don't know how to search for them on discord, but you'll have to trust me on this one
    I mostly covered this in the last post, but in case you want to look into more specific cases, you can search up things such as death's mansion's window, missing buttons in quests and dungeons, unusable signs, quest book crashing, and probably other crashes aswell. Some mods even bring 1.8 and 1.13 exclusive issues to other versions of minecraft, which is really problematic.

    With wynn mods, it tends to get even worse, since whenever Wynn updates, mods remain outdated, and people get pissed off at Wynn instead of the culprit. This is particularly apparent in the hero beta feedback sections, if you want relevant sources.
    In case I missed something crucial, feel free to ask


    Firstly, calling my -so far- valid points misinformed is plain rude without any substance on why you think so. Secondly I'm a bit confused as to which you're referring to with "situation", and I'd like you to explain what'd be "wrong" with what I've said


    Gonna break this down into bits:


    Mainly like hogging, but the point still stands, as vanilla is the only official and recommended way to play Wynn.


    I use mods on Wynn, because I'm aware of the specific issues they cause, know how to work around them, won't complain about it, know what's allowed and not, know how and what they prevent you from doing, and so forths. As already mentioned, I've worked with Wynn's bugs since the github days, and have paid attention in CT to how Wynn itself works. Meanwhile, I advise people who can't do this to stay away from mods on Wynn to have a seamless experience for their own sake.


    My stance is on preventing the endorcement of mods, not how enjoyable they are, which is probably where our discussions differ here. As for enjoyment though, you can't define what other people like. Some people like having custom client features on Wynn, and some prefer playing Wynn with familiar minecraft features. People have opinions, and opinions can't be false, even if what they represent is.


    That still doesn't mean everyone's as lucky with mods, or using the same ones, but if they don't bother you, I'm glad to hear that.


    The line expression enjoyment was parodying your former post. And yes, each and every mod still has their fair share of issues. That doesn't cancel out the fact that the issues used to exist and bother users either. It's like saying "I was stabbed, but I'm not being stabbed right now so it's alright"


    Again, that doesn't cancel out the fact that it used to be an issue on the "gray area of mods" as JP stated, for a long time until it was figured out how to disable once and for all. The gray area means that something is still an unfair advantage, but the difference seems too little to bother with, hence Wynn holds the right to put an end to what they deem right. For example, one could make the argument, that automating spells to a single button is unfair, but it was specifically deemed by Wynn's admins to not be, hence an exception was made to the rules. The mods designed around Wynn still have these features within the gray area, up for evaluation based on time. As you've seen, mods have been banned and disabled for these specific reasons, which allows you to say "mods aren't unfair". Seeing as the Wynn mods are constantly being worked on, there's also the chance that they'll have unwanted features in the future aswell. Heck, it's actually likely aswell


    This is correct, but having mods that allow those people to do so is still bad, even if the mod's creator wasn't aware of it upon releasing.


    It was never intended to be a case of "yo, all of these are going to happen to you no matter what". It was a list of valid issues, that can happen to any mod user at anytime.

    About the play.wynncraft.org thing - weren’t .org domains for non-for-profit organisations only at some point? So Wynn wouldn’t have been able to use it?
