Wynn Mafia Game Thread - Fresh Start (end)

On one particular dark and stormy night, an ordinary, nameless citizen of Detlas was sitting in his home just inside the city walls doing what all villagers in Detlas do late at night, when they don’t want to leave the house and cannot get to sleep - sit by the fireplace and see what there is to lounge with. With a pipe in one hand and Wynn Tales in the other, and decked out in an expensive bathrobe imported from Llevigar, there was nothing that could get him out of the house.

Except maybe a horrified scream for help from nearby. Possibly.

Half the citizens of Detlas rushed from their houses (but not before locking it first) to witness tonight’s event. People arrived in groups of three or more, paranoid that they might be next if they went alone. Before long, dozens of people - tired and soaked - arrived at the scene of the crime.

“Look at this,” a member of the crowd said, panning across the street. “Not a single guard out tonight. ‘Tis no wonder we’re being picked off one-by-one.”

“Wrong,” someone else replied. “There was a guard out. Look.”

The person pointed at the body lying in the middle of the street. “I recognize this person from the papers. Came here for political reasons a week ago. A practitioner in magic. A bit eccentric. Good person, though, from what I’ve heard.”

We looked closer. The guard’s skin was impeccably grey; it gave the impression of a lamp that had gone out in the rain (which was continuing to pour down in waves). When asked, the person could not remember the guard’s name. This was problematic, as the body was too mangled to be identifiable.

But luckily, someone here did know who it was. GeneralCobra19 stepped out of the crowd and bent down to observe the corpse. His eyes seemed to narrow as he spotted a gash that seemed to run endlessly, spilling out some sort of oozy red-orange blood that sizzled and evaporated when it came into contact with the rain.

GeneralCobra19 stood up. “I know who this is,” he said. “This here is the body of-”

Thunder boomed from the stormclouds to drown out his words. We anxiously waited for the sound to stop, but it didn’t. The rumbling grew louder and louder, until finally we had to cover our ears to prevent ourselves from going deaf. We tried to scream to each other to ask what was happening, but the thunder and the rain made us only able to see each others’ mouths moving, nothing more. GeneralCobra19 seemed flustered for being unable to relay the body’s identity.

Finally, the rumbling stopped, and the sudden transition made the silence that replaced it seem almost equally irritating.

GeneralCobra19 opened his mouth and said who the victim was. The problem was, we couldn’t hear him - our ears were still ringing after the thunder, which had died down to make way for another torrent of rain. We waited for our hearing to return before letting GeneralCobra19 know that he could speak.

After a sigh, GeneralCobra19 adopted a stern posture and said-

But once again, we were unable to hear him. The cause wasn’t thunder this time - it was lightning. The entire city lit up so brightly that our senses failed; all we could see was a brilliant white light for the split-second it lasted. Would this extreme weather never end?

This time, we were prepared to nudge GeneralCobra19 immediately so to avoid any further distractions, but amidst the shock, GeneralCobra19 reached down, and pulled out a card hidden in the pockets of the corpse. Perhaps this would give us the answer we spent so much time asking for.

The Royal Guard (Innocent)
You have been protecting the King of Ragni since you came of age. Over many years you have helped stop numerous assassination attempts from Ragni’s underground resistance. The King of Ragni owes you as much as you owe him.

As Royal Guard, your job is to protect the King of Ragni at any cost.
When in the same area as the King, you will take less damage and all damage directed toward the king will be taken by you.
You are given the ability to strike a player, dealing 15 damage (but you will not be able to attack or vote that phase if so). This ability has two uses.
Every night, you may confiscate a player’s weapon, inflicting the disarmed status for one phase.
If the King of Ragni is alive at the end of the game, it will be treated to you as a victory.

DrakeM1 and bluepenguin1002 were modkilled for inactivity!

It is still raining! Any attacks this phase are less likely to be noticed!​

did any cops get anything about mafia, claim now. If you just found someone is town, clear someone you trust.

We only have 5-6 people who haven't claimed yet. Most of these are inactives.
Here's what we'll do; we nail every last inactive on the board. Besides the lynch, in day and night, everyone attacks someone from this list who is most scummy. Until all of them are dead. Because inactives suck. And everyone else I know is clear or claimed except for Meric. Or dead ;(.

This way, we'll have the rest of the people as confirmed town, and the other 4-5 people can easily be either lynched, or have their roles proved via my amazing rolecop who isn't really a rolecop but can function as such.

Sorry GeneralCobra, but i wanted to get caught up with all the messages and such before i said anything. I came in fairly late, but i think i have a hold of the situation now. Before i say anything of importance, can anyone give me a list of who claimed what, and who is confirmed?

 

Because you are now active, I'd say the other three, and not you really.

 

Do you mind if i ask for your role? Have you already claimed or no?

 

Everyone is confirmed town but add air spear, knuckles, everyone in my list, wynner, and dr zed. And Meric too.
