Media Wybels = Poros?

2 to 3 years ago, I quit wynn, then I came back after the gameplay update, and I noticed little pets that a lot of cities have, and then I got them in my crates, and then I found an island full of them, but I always familiarized these so called wybels, to another creature, from another game. Could it be?

If you do not know, the second picture is a photo of a Poro, a creature, who lives in snowy areas or biomes.
This poro is in the game League of Legends, and its resemblance with the wybel is uncanny, I always wondered, was this poro an inspiration to the wybels in wynn?

 

for a second i thought that was some for of merch from don't starve
cause the creature looked like the snowy chester from that game

They are actually an inspiration from Earth Bound. I forgot what the creatures were called, but there was also a secret boss fight with one of them just like the orange wybel. I can't find the thread, but @Selvut283 confirmed it
