Worst Built Area In The Game?

Therck is on the stairs for the Enzans Brother quest, and he sort of directs you through to a secret discovery. :)

 

agreed on this one, it looks good but charon just loves hiding inside the walls :(

 

That's all good and all but why does he need to be on stairs? Do they lead into a tower or something now?

 

because the stairs are magnificent, and also new players kept running past Therck so they made it a landmark. :)

 

That's it? That seems really weird then, especially if they don't even go anywhere..

i agree. as funny as the therck stairs are, some new players may look at them as incredibly stupid and illogical
according to the talking mushroom they are the stairs to heaven or something like that

I think the idea was to make Therck more noticeable. Apparently lots of new players missed him or something.

 

I can’t speak for new players, but I think they’d appreciate, on some level, the comedy.

if they wanted, they could add a piece of lore (idk maybe a secret discovery) about a broken watchtower or something that Therck and Enzan were stationed at, and that’s why Therck doesn’t want to leave the stairs.

 

Stairs leading to nowhere do happen in real life, whether they be in the middle of nowhere or in populated areas like Times Square.

It'd be cool if NPCs would call for you when you pass by them.

Thanos is suppose to be a war torn place constantly under siege by a dragon.

When thinking of builds, I keep context heavily in thought, rather than purely how visually appealing it is.

 

There are ways to make destroyed things look pretty, the ROOF (a place that looks untouched) was a noisy flat screen.

 

Idk if anyone’s already mentioned this, but going up the spiral stairs in the Gylia watchtower is a nightmare, please just make the stairs wider.

 

Gylia I'm pretty sure is getting rebuilt (and revamped quest)
