I'll take a look around, my light tome being held so I can be identified as a magic user.

As you walk around, you see a lot of people experimenting with their magic. You then spot the piece of land that the Sea Skipper was talking about. It's actually floating up in the air with a house on it.

You go to the armor shop. Blacksmith: "Well hey there! I'm ganna have to make a custom set for you, unless your just here to look around?" (Remember your 8 ft tall xD So normal armor won't fit. He will have to make a custom set)

Nami

They are doing things to better control their magic. There are certain groups of people each with different magic types. Some of them are even your age. It seems that there's a sort of school here to better learn your magic.

Nami

There's someone at a front desk. Receptionist: "Oh, hello and welcome! I haven't seen you around before. Are you the one that just came here on the sea skipper?"

Nami: "Yes, that would be me."

 

Nami

Receptionist: "Well then, welcome to Mage Island! Home to the teachings of magic. Are you here for a reason or just come to have a look around at the town?"

 

Nami: "I... Actually want to further my knowledge of magic."

I show her my light tome as proof of my knowledge of magic.

 

Nami

Receptionist: "Well, let me introduce you to our light magic teacher. Follow me." She starts to walk down the hall behind her to the right.

Nami

You follow her down the hallway. You pass doors with signs above them saying what kind of magic they teach and the teachers name. You reach the light magic room near the end of the hallway. The Sign says that the teachers name is Mr. Thomas. Receptionist: "Here you are! He doesn't have a class today so he should be free to talk." She starts to walk back to her desk by the front.

B. Run down the hall screaming into every possible door
C. Free Action

 

B is totally a sensible option, but I'll choose A.

 

Nami

You go in and he looks up from his papers. Mr. Thomas: "Hello, I don't believe iv seen you on the island before." He gets up and puts out his hand for a handshake. "I'm Mr. Thomas. And you are?"

Nami: "That is correct, I have not been here before. I am Nami, a light mage."

 

Nami

Thomas: "Well then you've come to the right place. I'm the teacher of light magic on this island. Sadly it's one of the lesser known now. How good are you in it? You can demonstrate it outside if you'd like."

 

Nami: "I do have some knowledge. I can hold my own in a fight with it, definitely. I'm rather skilled, but if there's anything more that you can teach me..."

 

Nami

Thomas: "Well, besides the arch mage in the 2nd best with light magic in the world. So I probably do have more to teach you. May I see your tome so IK what you have learned already?"
