I'm fine with the Demon Eyes change.

For the Tome Nerf I'm thinking something like 'Once you cast a spell you can't cast it again'. Since its a Tome of Thought, you have to keep the Train of thought going by getting new ideas. Say Lucien casts Fireball. Well, he can't cast it again. BUT, he can cast Ball of Fire.

I like that idea.

 

Alright, but if you do something rly big like implode a mountain or something it might mess with your abilities and also cause the attention of some things I haven't revealed yet. (Also don't let that fall into the wrong hands. It could literally be world ending xD )

While on your adventure to explore the geology of the ocean, you come across an island made of volcanoes. While walking around a bit you hear some voices over the ridge to the left

A. investigate the voices

(Also did you get here with a boat or did you use a spell? If so what spell)

 

Lucien investigates the voices.

Apon looking over the ridge, you spot a sort of campsite. There are a lot of boxes near it labeled "Wynn Excavation site D"

(Oh also, just a tip. Try to keep your powers a secret. If someone sees and alerts the government your ganna have some problems. Some regular people have some magic but your book would grab a lot of attention)

(Also I'm apparently going hiking with my family so I gtg for like 5 or 6 hours xD )

Lucien forms his Emerald into a pair of binoculars and surveys the camp with them.

(So basically, no one bats an eye about him being completely gray? Also, he technically did serve in the army for 6 years so...yeh?)

You see more boxes, tents, and other stuff. They seem to be mining in the side of a volcano. You can see lava near their staircase that leads down into the depth. They have some people with pickaxes but most mining tools they have look mech-like, using drills for hands.

(Also no, no one except for some judgmental people judge you cause your gray. Some think it might be a medical condition you had. Also did you use your tome where people could see while in the army?)

 

Nami: "Ooh, ruins! I wonder what these hold!"

I'll check out the ruins.

 

Nami

When you go over to the ruins, it looks like a bunch of tall rocks placed in a circle pattern. However, there is a oddly positioned stone in the middle.

A. Free Action

 

I'll walk over to it.

Nami: "How peculiar."

I will give the stone a little nudge. If nothing happens, I'll take out my tome and try using light magic on it.

 

Nami

It was quite easy to move. You see a lever underneath it.

A. Flip it
B. Go away

I draw my rapier and flip it.

When you flip it, a spiral staircase opens up around the lever, seeming to go down under the ruins

When you get to the bottom, which wasn't actually that far, you find some beds, a desk with a book, and some chests, all lit by torches on the walls. It seems that a group was living here quite recently.

A. Inspect book
B. Inspect chest

Nami: "Oh, a book? What does it say?"

I will inspect Book.

 

Nami

The book actually contains detailed plans for an attack on Ragni. This seems to be a hideout for a group of bandits planning to raid the town.

A. Take the book (you can still do another action if you do this)
B. Check the chest
C. Get out
D. Free Action

Nami: "Perhaps I can steal their supplies... What if they come in?"

If they come in, I'll use a flash of light to blind them and let me escape.

 

Nami

You take the book and look inside the chest. There's a bunch of explosives and bounty hunter contracts

A. Take what you want (Can do another action)
B. Get out
C. Free Action

 

I'll take some of the explosives so I don't clutter my bag, then store as many of the bounty hunter contracts to show to the cops. I'll get out and try to find Ragni.

You safely make it to Ragni. Where do you go?

A. King Ragni (One of the contracts is actually aimed at him)
