Wondering Why Nether Gate Makes Crops

What could even grow in there? The devil's grass?

For a territory comprised of pretty much only nether blocks im surprised its making crops somehow

 

corruption is an acquired delicacy clearly

 

People eat pufferfish so who’s to let a little corruption get in the way of their fine dining

I bet corruption affected wheat is the Wynn craft world equivalent to caviar of all the farming plants.
annnnnnd I just realized you could make corruption affected cake with corrupted icing from corrupted cows and corrupted bread if you don't have the corrupted milk.
Scratch that, make corrupted straw hats and clothing and sell them for 100stx le each on the market saying they give unlimited health when worn.
Conclusion: Nether gate crops is the best resource in the game and will be the only terra that matters
