Will Elytra's Be Added To Wynncraft When The 1.9 Update Is Released?

Will Elytras be added to Wynncraft when the 1.9 update is released?

If they are, what will they be used for in Wynncraft and how will you be able to acquire an Elytra?
If not, What will change?

 

Well, I guess I'll quote my exact post that may have inspired you to make this.

 

Wynn isn't even 1.8 yet, and I suspect it will be quite some time until it reaches 1.9. I also don't see how it would have a use, every class (minus assassin) has a movement spell that allows them to do what the wings can do and more from a better position. Maybe they oils would be a fun armor peice, or part of a quest, but I don't see how/why a full implementation would be done.

 

I'll admit it did inspire me to make this thread

 

The only way I see them implemented is lorewise (air bender main temple kinda thing). Maybe as a quest item in a closed quest that you can't take out of the quest area.

I don't think so, because it'll be pretty overpowered interns of traveling.
In games like this, you usually travel the world. I know there are scrolls, but they won't take you everywhere you want, it'll only take you to main cities. Ellyra will take you everywhere you want to, as long as you're in a high place.
You don't always have a high place in order to fly with the elyra, but if you're an archer, you can use escape to go up, and then use it. So it won't be really fair.

 

Seeing as 1.8 comes with Gavel, I suspect 1.9 will come with a later province.

Also, I am not a fan of the idea, but you never know what goes on in Salted's mind.

 

Wynncraft is not even fully 1.8 yet. Hold your horses on 1.9

Well i did a poll on twitter couple days ago and here is the results.

Elytras, though may look cool, might change the classes' own transportation methods. Adding them into Wynn would technically render Mage's Teleport, Warrior's Charge, Archer's Escape, and Assassin's Vanish, a tad bit useless. If the staff would actually add them into the game, it'd be better off for only aesthetic purposes, and not for means of transportation. Just imagine how laughably useful Elytras would be if you could, for example:

-Get on top of one of the trees in the Jungle, and jump off said tree gliding towards Troms
-Get past parts that are usually unable to accomplish using your current class
-Literally ditch the one who's dueling you

 

The incorrect use of an apostrophe in the title is distracting me from everything else.

 

They could add a new class wich is based on using the Eltrya.

 

That would be a ok idea though I wonder how that would be used. Also Eltrya's would take up a chest piece slot so they would need to do some custom coding. The thing is with elevation you can use plugins or command blocks to propel you upward.

 

Yeah that could be a spell and since players wear slimes instead of armor in 1.8 they could maybe change that to eltrya for this class and maybe make an eltrya a spell too with a cooldown and use time (30 seconds of flying then 2 minute cooldown for example)

Wait until 1.8 is fully updated to wynncraft.
