Why Isn't Wynn More Popular Than Mineplex?

If your title was, 'why isn't Wynncraft more popular?' I'd say I have no idea because it's a very good server.

You have to realize Mineplex is a minigame server and Wynncraft is an MMORPG. The latter is of higher quality and the former is more accessible to casual players and kids, which make up most minecraft players.

 

I believe on some occasions we have had more players on wynn, then players on mineplex, also not many people play MMORPG's nowadays, explained by GameTheory

Now THIS I can agree with!

 

Wynncraft is slower paced, and (if the player wants to progress) makes you grind.
Mineplex on the other hand, is faster, and there isn't too much progression.
Wynncraft's staff are decent, however, (from what I've seen) Mineplex's staff is shit, even with some staff quitting and making a video about how shit Mineplex is.
Wynncraft's community has been nothing but nice to me, same with Mineplex (with the occasional idiot though).

Some of Minplex's Mods (EDIT: I believe they were Senior Mods) made this:

But this also reminds me of the Core. It had amazing original content, but died... I don't know how.

I could say the exact same thing about you.
Read what I said, Wynncraft is an RPG while Mineplex is a minigame server.
Building wise: RPG's requires to be somewhat decent looking, why? Because the player explores, a huge part in RPGs is exploration. Meanwhile Mineplex is a minigame server, you dont have the player explore, what you have is him running around doing parkour or hitting things. Do you really think that he will pay attention to something such as the floor is build in some amazing pattern while he is doing that? No! There is not really any need for the giant amazing builds like there are in Wynncraft to be in a minigame.

Plugins wise: Wynncraft is an RPG, that requires alot of excellent plugins. Mineplex is a minigame server. Do you need an amazing well scripted plugin for a minigame such as "the first one who completes the parkour wins"? No you dont! So there is no reason to create an amazing gigantic plugin.

Wynncraft staff is better ... we have a mythic GM Mr.tantibus and a cow and a music artist Needlr and great mods actually like pretzule and amazing builders like Lotem !

 

Good grief, someone actually REMEMBERS the Core? The Core was the bee's knees, loved that place. Now every trace of it is GONE. The ip leads to some "Island Clash" server, the forums for both The Core and Dawn of Asmara (Alternate project the core team had) are completely gone.

They may be different like you said, but still minigame servers can be good, like Hypixel

 

Theres quite a few of us that are over 18, and only a couple under 15.
If your talking about builders thats a different story, but there not technically staff.

 

Wynn obviously has way more work and thought put into it, but they're completely different. Mineplex is what the majority of minecraft players prefer and are exposed to, while Wynncraft is a game of it's own. It really depends what you prefer.

Seblind's post wasn't there when I had begun to create my post. Any similarities were merely coincidental.

 

Because dank Lill kiddos will quit if they have to wait more than 30 seconds before they have to level up. But then we, patient sweggers (or dank bank) enjoy wynncraft 10 times more than kiddos enjoy Mineplex, also Mineplex fits more different players than wynn that just fits one playstyle(what you like to play). You have to like wynn to play it, you have to like the whole concept. But you only have to find one gamemode on Mineplex that you like, then maybe 5 that you really disslike and some that is ok. Also Mineplex might be more on youtube, and when a big Youtuber makes a video on a server all fans will join. No super big YouTubes have played here as far as i know. Atleast not done a series on it. I remember on another server that Sky played and then the servers just filled up so much.

But wynncraft is ofcourse much better in every single way, the staffs put alot of effort to make us happy. Also they are actually skilled on what they do (builders and gm's mostly) and the mods do stuff, looking at the picture of the Mineplex staff team, i can count they are not so many... How can that small amount control thousands pf people so they dont hack and break rules... Oh well they cant :P But we can do that much better (on Mineplex you early see mods online but today i saw 3 different mods while playing.
Kiddos is too stupid to see that wynn is good and dont care about the effort put in a server.

 

Ago doesn't matter NEARLY as much as maturity. And most people, by the age of 16, realize what's wrong/right and what's annoying/acceptable. THAT'S what really matters xD
