Why Did You Quit/leave Wynn? (server)

Yeah, I just came back on the forums and I come to see a bunch of ppl triggered about my opinion.
I said at the end that I don't have a problem with ppl liking/playing this game.
I just said why I didn't like it anymore and expressed my opinion.
But instead of ppl being like "I see what you mean, but...", they just shut me down.

 

I think you'll have to fight @SPYROHAWK for that one.

 

Ran out of content to do, got bored of the LE grind for anything of value.

For everyone who's run out of stuff to do, you should try and collect a stack of every junk item in the game. Gives you something to do and you'll be surprised at just how many there are.

 

just wait till that library is done

 

I'm not gonna sit there for hours doing the same dungeon over and over again, it's kinda just as boring grinding tbh.

I dont see a viable future, its Major update - 1 year wait with some minor updates - repeat. They're so held back by minecraft as a platform it's just not going to work.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was their last update.

highly doubt it, wynn still has a steady playerbase and a reliable source of income in dungeon bombs, id say it would only shut down if minecraft suddenly stopped being popular and i dont think thats gonna happen anytime soon

 

That's true. If I do have to give credit to Wynncraft, is that it's been pretty resilient over the years. Though maybe Salted and the other devs might get tired of it after awhile and might want to do another project. Who knows? I'll definitely give it another year or two.

 

I've stopped playing mainly due to a lack of things to do in Wynn. Grinding never appealed to me in the first place, so a level 100 and a level 93 was good enough for me. Besides that, I don't find replaying quests fun and I rarely play with anyone else anyway. Combined with the inconsistent updates, it was time to go.
That being said, I may come back for the next major update, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

 

I know this is probably going to get some hate, but... TERA. After having played Wynn for 5 years as my only MMORPG, TERA, in comparison, is amazing. The option to level up by choosing if you want to purely run dungeons or just by completing huge storyline quests is something Wynn just doesn't have. When you put the two side by side, well, Wynn just can't compete. And don't get me wrong, I love Wynn, but it's super confined to the properties of Minecraft. It lacks unique boss fights (save for a couple) with somewhat stale mechanics. Sure, it's fun, but I personally feel that it lacks other aspects of typical MMO RPGs such as crafting, alchemy, etc

When I first quit it was due to me being completely dumb about playing and not doing any quests, I only grinded dungeons and mobs with friends, and when our friend group fell apart I didn't know what to do because I was lost and didn't know where to start. The second time I quit was because I didn't really have anyone to play with I kinda hit the wall in terms of enjoying the game.
