Who Is Stronger Canonically? Bob Or Lari?

Level wise? Lari. Lore wise? Bob. Bob beat bak’al + an army of corrupted.

Lari was evenly matched with bak’al.

hmmm, so who could it be?
Qira, Dr. Legendary, and everybody on corkus are not creatures of light, dark, or corruption. So who could it be? I'm guessing Qira is going to have some main character arc and come out of nowhere and beat up the Dern Beast.

My theory is that she escaped from dern or something like that. She looks Dark/dernic and is preparing an army for something

That makes a lot of sense. It makes even more with the fact that she refused to stop the decay, maybe she still loves her realm. However, why would she escape dern? Are there dern creatures that don't think the dern beast is in the right?

 

No I think by non light/corruption they mean that you cant be corrupted, fully light (elf, player, realm of light mob) or fully dark (silent expanse mob, dern beast)

I think all regular people in towns and stuff count as neutral.

 

I never said Bob was the dark being. I just said that Bob could (probably) defeat dark beings because he was not purely of light.

 

Running theory is that she is a disgruntled/defective creation of the dern beast. I don't really know how I'd justify he attitude to the decay though since I think she is against the dern beast/dern

 

hmmm, maybe she wants to attack it at the source, so that's why she's building an army.

 

I've done all the discovs and quests, but she's just really really annoyed

 

Lets just look at the execution. Bob saved lives single handedly while fighting the corruption. He was like a flippin historical army slayer. Lari failed to stop the darkness MuLtIpLe times, let Dullahan get corrupted then die, failed at stopping cariat from building there and yet still tried to beat the darkness peacfully. I think we can ALL agree even if lari is techniqually stronger (she isn't) she can't hold a candle to bob's execution.

 

Actually, I don't think any of them beat him in a fight. He escaped both times, and only Lari actually landed hits on him, and fought him one on one, and not whatever Bob and Bak'al did in the Wynn Plains Monument they just tried to shoot each other and missed

Bob easily defeated Bak'al's army, but he couldn't even land a hit on Bak'al in the cutscene

 

i dont know what you saw but he definetly hit bak'al a couple times. If Bak'al/Bob missed every shot, why did Bak'al run away?

 

In the cutscene, Bak'al burned down Nivla Forest. Then he went to Ragni to destroy it. Bob came, and used Bash and Uppercut on the army. Then, Bak'al retreated, and bob used Ice Snake, Arrow Storm, and Meteor to kill the rest of Bak'als army. Then, Bob and Bak'al faced each other, and charged up an attack, then they released it, and the attacks hit each other. Then Bob tried to hit Bak'al, and he teleported on to a tree. Bob did not hit Bak'al once

 

but it will almost undoubtedly be us who kills the dern beast?
ajb cures us of darkness, it doesn't make us creatures of light in the way you're saying

but the darkness is currently more powerful than corruption? not the forces themselves, just those who wield them - bak'al, (likely) the most powerful corrupted, is a peon compared to the dern beast

also, lari could have easily stopped the decay and everything else that happened, she just refused to kill anyone
i dont think it's fair to compare someone who wants to kill their enemies to someone who doesn't, you're not measuring their actual fighting ability/strength that way

and when lari did try to kill the player, i personally found her way harder to defeat than bob when he did, with her fight 3 levels before bob's




also, about bak'al, neither of them defeated him
as said above, bob did not land a hit on bak'al, bak'al just left because his forces were outmatched
lari did land hits on bak'al, not anywhere near enough to kill him, but certainly more than bob was able to
