SPOILER Who Are The Ancients? What Is The Eye? (somewhat A Theory)

Sooo, the Ancients used the Door of Time to timetravel to Wynn an unknown amount of time ago, but got corrupted, which was probably the Eye, but we don't know for sure. Maybe the Door of Time was sealed by the Ancients, and because of the corruption, the seal slowly started to break (present time Wynn). The seal is now broken, but we don't know how to USE the Door. Once someone finds a way to use it, we might be able to wander around in the past of Wynn.

Oh, and the thing with "I CAN'T S// MY EY// TH// //"
Might be "I can't see. My eyes. This. Is... ?"

According to Cloudavia, Darkness is not Time. It's Dern, Dark, Evil, Sexy, or Life.

Unless s/he was lying. Time fits in with literally everything to do with Darkness, especially the Decay.

Anyway, my guess is that the Dern portal in the Abandoned Mines sends you to present day Dern where it is destroyed or is plagued with Darkness (or whatever it is) but if you go through the Door of Time you can save Dern. Or maybe Fruma...

Didn't the staff say it wasn't to a province? I guess Dern has been "proven" to be a realm tho.
Why would the door be open rn if it would lead to a realm/province being added Soon(TM) AKA >1 year?

According to Grian behind the doors in Time Valley, something is slowing down the time there and that behind the gate there would be some really important story line addition, so that could possibly have something to do with this.

 

I always thought the door was probably to Dern, I have heard that it might be in another dimension.
