Minecraft is currently the BIGGEST game in the world! of course it snt dying now.
Firstly, to answer the main question, no, Minecraft will never die. At least for a looooooong while.
And to talk about what others have been saying...
Minecraft has definitely had its up and downs over the years, mainly from 2015 - 2019 It was becoming much less mainstream.
But it wasn't dying in the slightest!
Minecraft has something that not many other games have, and that's universal appeal.
MC is simple enough so you're able to learn how to play, yet complex enough so you can make it into something incredible only limited by your imagination.
With each new update, new and interesting things are going to be added, making way for more amazing creations and spread of word.
Sure, MC isn't as popular as it used to be, people have grown up and gone on to things like college or jobs, but that doesn't mean its dying.
Just look at the disaster that was the launch of No Man's Sky, and its doing pretty good after it was actually able to get developed.
The day Minecraft dies is the day that games become illegal. or if every server shuts down due to a massive fuckup or somethin
It'll be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong ass time 'till Minecraft dies, and i'll probably be dead the day it actually starts it's true decline.
please tell me you mean anniversary
but uhh anyways... no minecraft isn't going to die. ever, i don't think. the thing is, minecraft's capabilities and focus have kind of shifted. minecraft is such a huge creation platform that its players have made more fleshed out games and gamemodes than some professional developers. it's less and less a game and more and more an engine, which is one of the keys to its longevity.
What everyone else is saying, combined with the fact that Mojang has legitimately been knocking it out of the park with recent updates
VTubers picked up minecraft a while ago, so that's another boost to its popularity for a significantly long time.
Never. It can be formed into so many other games, and the ideas you can have are so infinite, i think it will never die. Maybe if somebody makes a game just like minecraft but not retro graphics, and if they can truly make it sandbox like minecraft. Then ~20yrs.
What a cheerful thread!
