What's On Your Housing Plot?

i havent started yet and i need materials to build it but im probably going to make a corkian meat grinder in which all the npcs get grinded in the meat grinder

I building a gladiator arena arena I can host pvp events

 

Nothing yet, but I plan to build a village that surrounds a replica of the Colossus' head. I'm worried about the stability of housing as a feature in general so I'm waiting for all the patches for this update to release before i make anything.

I'm making a 7x7 house.
It's a cobblestone/Stone brick base, oak walls, spruce in the outer corners, oak logs in the outer outer corners.
A roof with stonebrick edges and cobblestone inside.
Inside will just be simple furnishings, like trapdoor tables and single-stair chairs.
Furnaces outside, surrounded by textured stone. Attached to the house, invisible from the inside.
Maybe I'll change the roof material, maybe less stone-like material.

Don't have hero rank or champion so my building space is pretty limited but here's what i've done;

Simple house + Atlas Statue (more of a gravestone rip atlas 2017-2021)

Dirt house

I spent like a good 10 minutes trying to shape the booty on the statue, still isn't perfect but it's good enough for me.

I gathered everything myself and my prof level is like 55 in each profession so I didn't have access to higher tier materials but it's still pretty expressive with the sub-50 block pool.

Still a big work in progress, I think i'll add floating islands behind the statue to do jump height parkour or something.

Spoiler: My complaints on housing

The island size is something I take issue with. As a non, I get a small island size. I'm fine with Heroes/Champions getting a bigger island, but confining non-Hero/Champion to a smaller space on an island of the same size is subconsciously insulting, a bit of a mean tease, and just makes any build look awkward (with the blank space we can't get rid of and all).
I'd actually be fine with it if I had an island that were the same size as the space I'm allowed to use right now... if that was the entire island. That way, I'd no longer have the ugly blank space surrounding my build and wouldn't be constantly reminded of the fact that I can't get rid of ugly blank space since I haven't spent money on block game server.

Also material gathering. Why do I need to grind for like an hour to get purely cosmetic blocks to make a single large tree ;-;

Last complaint why is there no:
- fluids (water, lava)
- fire (wasn't there flint and steel in beta???)
- signs (so I could label things)

 

Change of plans, I'm making a new heliolux village there (will be like the one i made in singleplayer but with a largely different design. keeps the orphion statue though)
