-Getting to Troms at like level 30 something due to leeching off a group pushing through The Great Bridge
-Getting Warrior to 75 pre-Gavel
-Attaining the classic pre-Gavel endgame set (Blue Mask., Adamantite, Crystal, Stalagmites, Bob's Mythic)
-Soloing Bob for the first time pre-Gavel
-Soloing ToA when that came out
-Getting first 100
-Getting to 101 before the addition of 102-104
-Soloing Qira for the first time
-Soling LI for the first time

Soloing LI with A R C H E R

 

This happened just today. I was introducing a friend to the game, and we went to do the Tunnel Trouble quest. He laughed like a madman when he saw Drale pop out of the wall. I don't know, it's just so much fun to see him enjoy the game, and see how fun they've made it.

 

Does anyone remember when the bridge that crosses the river between Nivla and Detlas got changed? And Grian did a whole thread on it saying good bye and everyone was just crying? Like it was the first milestone everyone did

Or am I too old?

 

-Levelling my archer to level 100 for the first time in April/May 2018 by completing the hive quest with or without DXP (can’t remember)
-Levelling my assassin to level 100 again some time later by completing the Royal Trials quest
-Playing JourneyMap and Wynntils for the first time
-Soloing current Qira and the Orange Wybel without the use of skill pots

-Qira is more difficult than Wybel in my opinion​

-Owning over 2 stacks of LE
-Successfully defeated the Orange Cybel and Doctor Legendary within a timespan of just 5 minutes
-Acquiring two mythics a few months apart while grinding in the ToA
-Owning 16 Diamond Legendary Tokens and ~100 Master Catalysts

 

- Getting all my professions lvl 100+
- Getting LI medallion
- Finishing the list of collectibles I rlly wanted
- Seeing fed fall after months
- Fighting 4 cybels at once
- Hearing @RazorGuild scream on vc
- Getting admiral (when it was still 10 tokens and with glitched cannons)
- Getting chief in Hax
- Losing my 3rd white horse after shift clicking it in my bank...
- Seeing TheDarkSoul get out of his cave
- Finishing my 3000th csst run

 

hoo boy, old wynn was an adventure. Several good memories came out of it during what was undoubtedly wynn's golden age of development. Sadly most have moved on and I kinda wish everything was still the same but the impermanence of it is what keeps us moving, and all good things gotta end some day.

back on the 2013 original forums (pre-Xenforo), the first distant memory I had was when Ragni got set on fire. Literally. Some wooden planks were lit on fire and they somehow got onto the main map so everyone had a good laugh.

as Minitinipower said, the bridge that crosses the river between Detlas and Ragni was changed for 1.12, Grian made a thread saying farewell and players were so saddened but there was nothing they could do. The bridge is no doubt the most used bridge of all time and crossed frequently by newbies and veterans alike. The original VIP Town and PVP Arena were changed during 1.12 too before EULA came into effect, officially retiring the 1le black horse merchant and scam merchant.
Fun fact: the original pigball was located in said PVP Arena but nobody used it so the pig became sort of a test dummy, until it was reincarnated as a wynnter fair minigame.

the content competitions were also worth a mention. They were the only official events during pre-Gavel, Gavel, and Corkus development, held annually until they were replaced by item-naming competitions(?) and various community events today. The content competitions spawned extremely good entries too, such as Igbar's Better Bosses suggestion, one team that made dishes representative of each city, and a few digital art entries from the corkus content comp as well.

remember that big hoo-ha over an alliance that controlled nearly all of the map? Before Federation, there was Legio Praetoria, made up of Kangronomicon (Fuq), Knights of Valor (KnV), Imperial (Imp), and The Nether's Ascension (TNA). It was the original superpower, and boy did everyone despise it with every inch of their being. People would relentlessly hate on the guilds and their leaders, and it was just so bad. I could ramble on with guilds' history but this is a thread about memories after all. That was surely not a good memory but certainly a memorable one.

the best ones were the hunts to crack '???' and Gale's Tomb in the Qira Hive. Gale's Tomb was blocked due to builder error, and subsequently discovered after a map update. '???' had a dedicated forum section and it was fun watching players figure out the puzzle piece by piece by the sheer power of cooperation and connecting dots.

good times.

 

My most memorable moment on the least memorable quest (in my opinion anyway) is when me and a friend jumped down into the Pit of the Dead and beat the quest in like a minute. No fall damage pre gavel made it pretty quick, lol.
Also the first and only swarm I was ever in. Detlas was a blood bath.
