What Was Your Favorite Update?

Honestly, I think that 1.9 was the best update because it added quests.

 

I haven’t been playing for super long, but to think about it, the Gavel Expansion is by far my favourite update. Gavel, The resource pack, AND elements are all super important.

 

I really like 1.19 because it added an endgame area that actually felt like one. But I would go for the 1.14 update anyways because it added such a huge portion of the map and completely changed how items work and are used.

 

I would say 1.19, but I haven’t played it so I can’t really say. Though I have seen play through of it and I know it addressed a lot of issues with endgame content so I hope I can say it was one of the best updates.

I’m personally torn if 1.14 was better or worse than 1.14.1 because they’re like polar opposites. Gavel was rich in content but had lots of little problems that added up. Even with its flaws, however, Gavel was still revolutionary and forever changed the game for the better overall.

Whereas the Gameplay Update made so SO many quality of life improvements to the game, but had less content. Which less content may seem like a dealbreaker, but it’s those QoL’s that really make or break your experience because they affect most of the game.

 

1.14 made Wynncraft an actual MMO - previously stats and skill points didn't really matter, there were only like 8 IDs and each piece of endgame gear had all of them and there was absolutely no reason to continue playing after the main quest line. As amazing as Gavel is and was, the main reason this update is so significant was because it added so many mechanics that actually fleshed out the game and gave items a purpose. Different builds were now a possibility, you could personalize your playstyle and your choices actually had weight to them.
