What Should I Start Doing?

Hi,
I recently started playing Wynncraft consistently (i used to play it on and off), and currently have decent gear, and play a level 48 mage. (https://wynncraft.com/stats/player/Witherflare)

I currently have all my quests done except for Bob's Lost Soul (imagine having friends to do it with) and Tower Of Ascension.
What should I do?

I come from Hypixel Skyblock, so I understand the grinding aspect of the game, but should I really start grinding this early into the game?

Also if there's a huge part of this game I'm missing please inform me about it, as I haven't really looked through the entire game.

Sadly, there are some levels where you have to grind. If you do not like grinding, take brakes and explore instead, so it is not one long grind session.

Also: Do not do professions, they are just unnecessary and terrible grind, you can do them after your first player through if you want

 

well, here are a few things to get you started

at level 48, you can honestly to to the jungle, (which is the passage to the RIGHT of the tunnel to the lusuco/tower of ascension region) there you will find the great bridge
in the jungle you can find Herb Cave, a powerful xp grind spot, whenever you come out of the great bridge, if you turn right herb cave is that way

 

Personally I'd wait just for a little bit as Gavel Reborn is going to come out soon. However, there's still a ton of quests to go through and you just need to level up more. The game is nowhere near finished at that point.
Don't worry, though, leveling up from Level 48 to a higher level doesn't take too long at all.

 

Explore the map as you level up. There are many little hidden secrets around the map to find!

 

A good way to gain some xp would also be running dungeons. Ice Barrows, the dungeon closest to your level, also has some very good reward items.

And as said above, you can take a break from the grinding and maybe just explore the world. Secret Discoveries are also an alright way of getting xp. You could even try to take on a combat challenge with Boss Altars, Prison of Souls for example.

And yeah, the game is definently not done yet. You're currently in the very early stages of midgame, and there will be a lot of content ahead.

btw about your skill point spread, it is not recomenned to invest extra SP in strength or dexterity as they are additive and scale badly, only if your gear requires it. Invest in intelligence until the highest threshold (seen on Wynndata mana tables) and then defense/agility.

 

are you sure that I'll be able to survive?
I went to the Light Forest a few weeks ago and uh kinda got deleted

 

herb cave's lower fire grind spot area is like level 55 while light forest is 70

 

thats cause the light forest is a level 70 area lol, the jungle is level 50-60, so you'll be fine with decent armor

Gavel Reborn seemed to be geared towards end-game players, so I was thinking I should grind now so that I'm ready for Gavel Reborn when it comes out

I've seen boss altars before on the Wynntils map, but have no idea how to use them

it's actually focused on midgame reworks, though there is endgame content too

you can look on the wiki page. basically you just have to sacrifice a certain amount of an item, typically an ingredient, to activate it, and then you will fight a boss

 

oh
is it gonna nuke current Gavel and redesign it when it comes out, or will it just add more?

would I need multiple people to fight the boss or could I solo a low-level one

 

mainly reworks. nuke? i wouldn't say nuke. it does change a fuck ton though. you can see from the changelog.

every boss in wynncraft can be soloed at level with any class, and most good builds can no-pot without major difficulties. you can solo the ones at your level, not just the low-level ones.

 

oh, they publicly announce everything that will be in the update?

That's something you'll notice a lot on Wynncraft.

 

If you don’t want to grind, the Nesaak Tundra discoveries give a pretty good amount of XP and are pretty fun to figure out

 

Late 40~early 50s is grinding stage. After that you'll be able to levelnup with only quests, up to level ~78.
There's also gap between 78~80, and after 90s grinding must be done, but then you can use dungeon parties.
