Shattered Minds and Jungle Fever

 

Shattered Minds was definitely a trip, but it's still one of my favorite quests.

 

I actually liked A Confused Farmer. I get that it can boring to go back and fourth between 2 NPCs, but i kinda felt like the story made up for that. The consept is so absurd, that you have to wonder what the Gm's were smoking when they made it. Also, i don't get why people find it hard to complete. You have to go from Detlas to Ragni quite a few times anyways, so it's not like it's a hassle to finish it.

Alright, let's get a crap ton of anger out of my system.

1. Drought Sands. 24 Mashed Insect is just brutal to get with the low spawn rate of Scarabs.
2. The Realm of Light. Taproot was meh. Finding the Light is actually one of my favorite quests. And to tie it off, you have a horrible quest.
3. Mixed Feelings. When I was doing the parkour it broke a lot, but I think I was doing it wrong.
4. Royal Trials. Did this for a friend. Did not enjoy it.
5. All Kander Forest quests. I think the Content Team panicked when Gavel's release date was coming up and they had nothing for this place, so they threw a bunch of crap in here.
6. Any quest that forces you to keep a quest helmet or item. It should be taken away once the quest is finished, like Eluzterp taking your Slime Scooper and the 8 Slime that you needed to get, because that stuff clogs up my accounts.

Any where I couldn't defeat the boss in less than two tries, because I'm impatient. Any where you have to get other people to help you, particularly like The Passage as the boss (imo) is WAY too hard for the quest - I get that boss altars aren't really supposed to be soloed at the level minimum, but why do we have to do one at the reccomended level? It also doesn't say that you should. I didn't actually mind ??? Though because I got some people who were actually doing it, and I liked the concept. I don't really mind Eye of the Storm, apart from the lore and the boss being pretty difficult.

Tldr I don't like working with other people, and I don't like The Passage (although the reward is useful).

 

If it's a trilogy of course there's going to be three fucking quests.

 

Time to join the circlejerking bandwagon.

-The mashed insect one. It's boring and short, no reason for it to exist. If they're having a drought, why don't you fucking get water from the river like 100ft away? Maybe it's polluted and you have to take down the source of it?

-Tower of Ascension is dumb. Rather than just getting a scroll from every city, why don't we have to gather a mage representative from every city to break some sort of ancient seal on the tower, allowing us into a dangerous, dungeon-like tower with the wizard at the top explaining why this tower exists, then ask us to prove ourselves worthy and fight him? Then as a reward the wizard could be used as some sort of special merchant, offering something people have been asking for (extra bank space? auto-junk trashing?)

-I just did Fantastic Voyage yesterday, it would be fun if there was any conflict whatsoever. You have to slowly swim through a pool (is there supposed to be a boat?) for 3 minutes then it's just a boring, railroaded fetch quest. Maybe rather than just finding the items you had to survive on the island whilst trying to find how to activate the mysterious portal back. Maybe a magical disturbance makes your gear worthless, meaning you have to maje your own, scrapped tools to survive.

In general, all of the newer quests (1.1.6) are really railroaded, with invisible walls everywhere, which just ruins the open-endedness. If you don't want people cheating on parkours, just say a dark aura disrupts any magical spells or something. Some quests do the railroading well (ex the Corkus one where you have to help the citizens with their problems you "caused") while others do it awfully.

Yeah, the boat section in Fantastic Voyage is pretty broke rn. I was in 1.8.9 and there were no boats, and when I got to an open straight I was there like 'oh, I'll just escape to go a bit faster'. Little did I know there's a barrier a few blocks above the surface which tps you back to start.
