I made the fatal mistake of assuming even a tiny percent of a game's player-base actually cares about what's going on behind the scenes... Whereas I love diving into game mechanics and reverse engineering stuff to figure out how to use that knowledge to my advantage in the game... Maybe I'm just weird like that...

THE lobby was broken and Some random guys were saying that it was gavel being released right now ehhh no

 

Since Gavel hasn't been released for over a year, then I'm not surprised (though Gavel has been worked on, not counting the updates in the meantime, for about a year now).

Yea. I just feel bad for the people that all they have to go off of to get to gavel is grian saying "Boats."

 

So, a normal day in the Silverfish Dungeon as my Assassin...

[Guy ---> Me] what level are you
[Me ---> Guy] My Mage is 51, why
[Guy ---> Me] can your mage come to nesaak i need help with bobs tomb
So I switch to my mage, ride from the jungle minidungeon to Nesaak, and...
No one's there.
I sit there for 5-10 minutes and then...
Guy: Here
He was obviously in Detlas or something when he messaged me.
So we went to Bob's Tomb and he abruptly disappeared. I /find'ed him and went to Server 7.
Guy: wtf did you go man
Me: _-_
So we went to open the tomb, but this guy apparently thought that the two of us could open the doors.
Me: Dude, we need a third person.
Guy: oke i'll look in nesaak you go to detlas
There was not a single person in Nesaak, and besides, he just afk'ed at the tomb entrance anyways.
So I rode all the way to Detlas and no one wanted to help, even though there were about 15 people from all levels.
But then, out of the blue...
[Guy ---> Me] sorry dude wrong person
[Guy ---> Me] you can go do what you were doing

I was grinding in Troms, and a random dude msged me asking the price of depressing weapons. This kicked off a random conversation, which ended when I agreed to help him do the zombie dungeon. I met him there, and we got to the boss door pretty uneventfully. Then we stop for him to regen health, and...
Him: Are we gonna fight Bob?
Me: Um...no
Him: But I heard he's a boss and I wanna fight him.
Me: He's too high level for either of us. Plus, we can't even get to where he is.
Him: Where is he? I bet we can beat him!
Me: He's in a special boss battle arena that we can only get to at level 74.
Him: Please can we fight Bob?
Me: Can we please just fight Charon for now?
Him: Okay, but then Bob?
Me: *silence*
We proceeded to defeat Charon. I switched servers without even collecting my share of falling emeralds ;-;

My level 10 friend and I were by the sheep pen outside Detlas. She was grinding and I was keeping an eye out for mobs sneaking up on her. Suddenly a level 20-something comes up and spams shift-left-click at my friend. She ignores him.
Guy: Plz duel for quest
My friend: No thanks. Busy
Guy: plz
Me: I'll do it
Guy: I have to win let me win
Me: You don't have to win to complete the mission. How many times do you have to duel someone?
Guy: 2
Me: Okay. I could just oneshot you twice and you'll be done.
Guy: No let me win! just stand there or something!
Me: Okay, okay!
*The duel starts*
*Guy frantically tries to kill me*
After several minutes, he finally takes me down (keep in mind I haven't run or fought back this whole time)
*When duel is over*
Guy: MY QUEST IS GONE! U MADE IT GO!
Me: Lol no I didn't. You ran overtime on the mission. If you had let me oneshot you twice, you'd have made it.
Guy: LALALALALA NOT LISTENING WILBUR YOU ******* (I have swears off)

*I then go get my friend and head to a different grinding spot. This guy follows me around for several minutes, cussing me out thoroughly*
