What is the house good for?

Just wondering if there is any reason to buy the house plot other than being able to build stuff

 

Don’t think so, tho it could be convenient cause u can buy trade market and bank and item identifier and stuff so even if ur in a town without some of those, as long as there is a hot air balloon u can access it
But u can at the same time join some random dudes housing island and it works just fine

 

You are able to buy NPC's which you can place anywhere within your house for easy access (such as crafting stations, merchants, powder master, and a bank). There are also Housing-exclusive NPC's like a target dummy which can be used to record DPS. Other than the convenience of having NPC's and stations in one place, there isn't much of a reason to buy the housing other than build your own creation.

 

Combat dummy isn’t housing exclusive, it’s in deltas or ragni, I don’t remember which

It isn't the same combat dummy iirc, unless they changed it. It's just a mob and doesn't show damages.

 

The Housing combat dummy is different because it displays DPS

 

The one that shows dps is housing exclusive though.
