What do you think the next major update will include?

Maybe we'll get lucky and have dialogue changes and CCI removal to make the game playable again.

Whattt??? About the CCI revamp fixed all my issues! I can take advantage of 1/3rd of my classes skils every 45 seconds now instead of never!

probably some reworks here and there, i cant see an entirely new area of the map coming out for at least another few years but i would love to be pleasantly surprised

I don’t think that it’s going to be fruma because when the gavel gate first appeared it took years before it was released, when the silent expanse gate appeared it took years before it released, and the fruma gate has not been out for too long. That being said I think that it’s going to be updating, reworking, and improving areas in Wynn. Hopefully adding more level 40-50 content.

Or a halloween / Christmas quest?

 

To be honest I don't want them to release a large region yet, and I don't really think they will either. The reason is quite obvious as well. And my guess of what they WILL touch is here:

- Level 75+ quests: Most late level quests are old. For example look at Recipe of Disaster, its a level 96 fetch quest (even tho with some cool interactions, its still a fetch quest). This is told many time but little to nothing has been done. Or you just look at the Canyon Guides. I don't think I could verbally stress how cancerous it is.

-Ocean. Yes, the cities or places in the ocean has been touched countless times, but I think that the ocean is still... ocean. With literally no people wanted to go through because seaskipper exists. (not talking about reworking seaskipper tho, he is cool) I think some boss altar with good drops or a late-game and efficient XP farming area could be added. And make the ocean 2x bigger plz lol, the ocean is too smol imo

- Corrupted Galleon's Graveyard. plz

- Skill point perks. We need more fun stuff to play with. Not only the choice between left click simulator or spell spamming simulator. (I mean there is powder specials but still)

- More quests in existing areas. Corkus... really deserves more quests. Relos quest when

 

I would be happy if 1.21 was just the removal of the quest "The Canyon Guides" and it didn't do anything else.

 

Corkus has so few quests for its size

 

There's a few things I think we'll see in the next major update, but first off , I don't think we'll get Fruma. (It'd be great if we did, but I'm not sure that we will) This is because there is plenty of other aspects of the game which need some improvements first, and I think it would make more sense to have the game in a really great place before adding a new massive area.

I think there's a few things which are very likely, for example, Salted and others have mentioned that newer players seem to disappear around level 10-ish, so I think we'll get the following features to counteract this:
1. Low level quest revamps (Making things more fun, unique and appealing early on)
2. Soul Point revamp (There's been a lot of people talking about this recently and they all make an excellent point about how early on, dying massively discourages players from playing, and if you're a new player, dying is far more likely)

I also believe we'll get some more daily/weekly/monthly tasks to keep people playing more frequently. (Maybe there will be daily/weekly bounties (e.g. kill boss X, find ingredient X, gather X materials etc.). And working from this, bosses. In 1.20 we saw a sneak peek of the new world bosses in the Ragni area. So I think this will be fully implemented.

Mid-Late game quest revamps. 1.20 redid an enormous amount of quests and content in Gavel, but it stopped roughly when you reach CotL (about level 80-85). So I'm reasonably sure that the quests in CotL and onwards will be getting a few revamps/remakes.

A highly requested feature for Wynncraft is Skill Point Perks and I don't believe we'll get exactly this, but I can definitely see a new mechanic like this (skill trees?) being added in this update.

The ocean is in need of some love (as suggested by the community a lot), so I feel like we'll definitely get ocean secret discoveries, a new quest or two and a few reworks around the ocean. (The jungle will get secret discoveries too as it's now the only place without them)

The usual poorer-quality quests being revamped will occur too, I imagine and maybe there will be a handful of build changes, but nothing too ground-breaking (except perhaps in the ocean)

So, that's what I believe we'll get in 1.21. For a TLDR, I'll list them by likelihood (in my opinion, obviously)

Highly likely: World bosses, CGG, Jungle secret discoveries, Mid-late quest revamps, general quest revamps
Likely: Ocean improvements (including secret discoveries), Lore improvements, early-game changes
Possible: Soul Point revamp, skill point perks (or something like that), new prof features
Maybe?: More daily/weekly content (e.g. weekly bounties, daily world boss resets etc.)
Unlikely: Fruma (But it would be amazing if it was in 1.21)

It’s so hard to convince your friends the game is good when it’s just fetch quest then fetch quest then oh wait, it’s another fetch quest
It literally took multiple months of mentioning wynncraft every minute to get one of them to actually play past lvl 20

tl:dr hope it’s a revamp of early game cause it’s really bad rn

 

I agree with the dialogue problem, but I think the CCI change is quite nice to make bosses a little more challenging. Though I'd prefer percentage based CCI (e.g. take 50% less kb or blindness lasts 50% shorter) instead of timed complete CCI immunity

Then again, I don't play shaman
