Post your ideas about 1.15
Something to do with caves
Caves and combat if they listen to the community
i dont care what they add so long as they make it possible for us to add customiseable blocks and mob textures (really juicy) / custom mob models (EXTRA juicy)
Give caves their own individual biomes
I'm hoping for a Cave and Structure update
From what i can tell, Caves are getting an update and Combat is actually getting fixed (lets hope the shields arent bedrock shields because HOLY CHRIST ARE THOSE BROKEN)
Helen angel said no caves :( https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Planned_versions read references.
Thats a fat F
I'm always hoping for more structures. Just random ruins in the world, here and there... I think it'd make the exploring aspect of Minecraft real neat.
As for what the 'theme' will be: if it's not caves, then maybe it's new crafting or smelting additions...? Can't think of much us, but they can always surprise us.
we shall know soon™ (28 september)
No caves but combat is DEFINITELY happening.
Probably considering the 1.14 test snapshot
I really hope performance is improved, and soon.
it's just gonna be a bunch of bees
Seeing as he working title currently is "The Bees & Bugs Update", its gonna add bees, something no one asked for, and game breaking bugs, which no one also asked for.
(on a serious note I think another one of the "bugs" there are going to add is termites and termite dens as seen in the "biome chooser" adverts before minecon earth live stream)
when was this announced
Like I said, its a working title, not an official one.
They're going to fix performance and bugs. Jeb_ said they won't be adding much content, so I think other than the savannah overhaul and the bees, there won't be much. Maybe they'll throw in a few blocks, add some other insects, and probably also going to add something no one would've anticipated.
The speculation I've heard from others, which I also think is true, is that 1.15 will be mostly a bugfix and optimization release, and more functions will be added in 1.16. I really hope they do something about the blocks they added in 1.14 with no interface (like the fletching table), since I think it's really stupid to add blocks that seem to have a function but doesn't to the game. Overall I've enjoyed 1.14, though I think the last 1.14 snapshots were quite rushed, and the release came a bit too early, which is evident by all the bugs. I really hope the same doesn't happen to 1.15 too. I do understand that bugs appear in releases that go past the radar, but the state of 1.14 - 1.14.3 was quite bad. Also, the game is not very optimized at the moment, hasn't really been since 1.13, so I expect 1.15 to be a bugfix/optimization release, and I really hope that's the case too. Looking at the snapshots, it really looks like that's the case too. On another note about the bees, I kinda feel like Minecraft is becoming more like modded Minecraft, which I really hope isn't the case as the whole fun of vanilla is doing things with a bunch of limitations, and even though pretty much introducing Forestry into the vanilla game isn't exactly the worst, it will still be more like modded. I do hope they tackle things like caves and the nether soon though, since I think improving on the existing game as opposed to adding a bunch of new stuff is a lot better since some parts of the game hasn't been changed much since the early days of the game. If I recall correctly, caves hasn't really changed much since their introduction, and the nether hasn't changed much since 1.5, so I do hope there are much more in store for those. Another biome update à la 1.7 would be more than welcome too.
(also, the fact that they changed the mesa biome to the badlands biome is a very stupid thing in my opinion, it will always be the mesa to me)
