What Could The Next Currency Token Be? [poll]

At this rate, inflation is going to get to the point where the player base will just start using a currency on their own. It happened to many MMOs b4 and those had way better sinks and methods to combat inflation than we do.

 

gold ingots are currency in rymek right? that one counts

 

except it's basically the equivalent of the 2 dollar bill so it wouldn't help

 

I'd go with gaseous emerald or tank of liquid emerald

 

1 gold = 4 emeralds
64 gold = 4 eb
16*64 gold = 1 le
If there is liquefied emerald, why can't there be a liquefied gold that is 4 times as effective as emeralds lol? Currently gold is in the game, but just does nothing :p Kinda sad...

 

the only access point to convert gold to emeralds is in rymek
as well as there not being an emerald merchant in rymek

plus gold only drops in the mesa
and 4x efficiency isn't enough to solve the issue of LE storage space

 

Other enemies drop gold ingots as well. In particular, you need them to buy certain items in Thanos, and the Canyon Bandits provide.

 

I actually was farming canyon bandits near the 'A Marauders Dues' Quest area. The only problem with farming gold ingots is they are less common than emeralds, so it is still faster to obtain emeralds from the bandits than gold x_x. Essentially, yes it is an accepted currency, yes it wont solve the le issue.

Or perhaps a paper currency trade. Where you can use banknote xD that can be traded for their value in LE.

Also as a gerneral though, It may eben be Emerald Paper (cough cough AMERICAN BILLS)

Of course. I'm all for trading emeralds for digital currency, but that wouldn't make sense lore wise...
What about a sort of credit card? and you can only access your total amount inside a bank, and load that onto a wallet item or something?

 

Dungeon Realms does have a system where you can convert your gems (emerald equivalent) into "banknotes", which can be converted back to gems at any time at any bank

so it could be possible

 

but you can add a regional lock for it to occur (only at a bank)
