What Class Should I Do Hi + Hunted With?

Yeah you read the title. I'm gonna do Hardcore, Ironman and Hunted (no craftsman because Ironman + Craftsman is the worst combo ever). I'm not going to pick Assassin or Shaman because my main is assassin and I'm playing as a Shaman for an ultimate playthrough. It would be nice if the option wasn't Mage either. But yeah, to summarize it up:

- No Assassin or Shaman
- Preferably not Mage

 

I would actually play with either assassin or mage.
Assassin because it has good defence plus decent damage
Mage because of survivability. Plus mage buff made damage better

But if you dont do either of those then do warrior (yep warrior), its actually pretty good for HIC (in your case HIH) because of the high defense, and knockback which allows you good escape from mobs (like to push them back). Dont do archer or shaman, they will die instantly when you get a lag spike or anything of the sort.

Ironman + Craftsman is definitely a challenge, but with the ingredient pouch its not so bad. Plus, I thought the whole point of doing Hunted is for the XP bonus, which is great when doing craftsman.

 

I agree with him in everything but the warrior part. Having played both assassin and warrior i’d say assassin is miles better than warrior. The extra 20% defence isnt that huge and if you’re going for spell warrior is absolutely horrible, especially early game. Pick assassin

Totally agree with you, its just that they said that they dont want to play assassin, so next best choice is mage, and since he prefers not playing mage, then warrior.

 

If they choose warrior i must warn them that warriors damage before level 57 is horrible as uppercut without the t3 upgrade is super bad.

Edit: Archer is a decent option even with its bad health. I just did a 1.19 archer playthrough and it wasnt that bad. I can see why OP doesnt want to play shaman tho.

Yeah but in theory wouldnt you be able to sneak up and snipe other hardcorers for loot?

 

If you mean other players in "hunted" mode, then yes. Archer is probably the best class for hunted mode because of arrow bomb, escape, and speed III.
But the reason why I said it is risky in hardcore mode is because of the low 60% defense. You can get killed pretty easily due to very small mistakes, thats why I don't recommend playing archer with hardcore mode.
