What Are Your Unpopular Opinions In Wynncraft?

Does saying that the gavel swamps were a bad idea, and they should of picked a different theme for the area count as an unpopular opinion?

 

I say that most of us share the same sentiment. Its just sooooooo ugly.

 

I don’t really mind Gavel’s terrain that much. Sure it’s a bit hard to get around, but it’s not hard to look at.

 

I just realised that i spelled “cooking” wrong.

Oh I forgot in my last post

Stop bitching about Matrojan Idol, it's one of the easiest LI bosses and the only people that struggle with it refuse to use multiple weapons to take advantage of its enormous weaknesses. It's the one boss that discourages doing the same thing over and over and no one seems to notice. It's easily soloable with even a causal air mage build.

 

I'm thinking the same thing about this; I soloed it with a crappy pre-nerf Torrential Tide and could probably do it again.

Also maybe an unpopular opinion: this server's many bugs are all that holds this server back from a masterpiece; and too many chest-exclusive items are a bad idea.

Unpopular Opinion: I deserved finding a mythic.

 

I actually like Gavel and its storyline.

While unfinished and certainly needing to be expanded upon and fixed in some areas, the Gavel quests and their storyline are great.

My only issue is that a ton of the quests are just one-time things and are never really expanded on further. I love the concept of a lot of these quests, and I would love to see everything tied in to the main storyline to make it actually matter. I would love to see more about the bandits trying to do stuff with Llevigar’s Quartz, or a more in-depth war between the Villagers and the Orcs/Trolls. I think that the current quests in Gavel are an amazing base for future expansion upon.

And yes, I actually like the light vs. darkness theme because I can see Wynncraft taking it in a different direction than most.

The light vs. darkness theme is literally the most overused and unoriginal theme you could have in a story. Especially in MMOs and RPGs...

Yes, the generic Light Vs Dark is extremely overused and I hate it. But Wynn seems to be going in a direction I haven’t seen used before, with the corruption being a mix of light and dark.

But don’t trust my opinion since I haven’t seen too many other fantasy settings to understand how overused it is.

 

The corruption is barely different from “darkness.” They are both intangible, bad things that make things monsters, and serve as the reason to fight anything in the game. That’s it. It’s how literally every game and story does it, from Kingdom Hearts to Diablo.

I hardly see how saying it’s a combo of light and darkness (which doesn’t even mean anything) is innovation.

If that wasn’t enough then they try to copy the corruption by using the Decay, which functions almost the same as corruption except that it also affects trees and it isn’t called the corruption.

 

I mean I don't mind light v dark but it's just kinda inconsistent. So the biggest corrupted threat that we know of is the CoW, and Qira if you wanna go for just evil things. Is one CoW really gonna corrupt everything?
