that makes 0 sense, and mage doesnt need another travel spell
i say we just keep elytra out of the picture
each class has it's own way of traveling, whether it be good or bad,
    there are horses
    theres vip to ride people
    theres boats
    theres airships
    needy children

the new arrows may sound like a good idea but I don't see many options to use them is (regen and poison are a no no).
I'm not sure how well shields will work with the damage system.
I'm not sure how the new attack speeds work but last I looked they were for tools only, so we don't need them as our weapons are blocks.
the fact that the sword blocking feature got removed doesn't help us as we are all using blocks as weapons anyway.
I'm more excited about the new potions.

Attack speed is an item attribute, which means it could be applied to any item in Minecraft, including blocks.

Haste and Mining Fatigue actually don't affect weapons. You still hit the same speed.

And the fact that the outside layer can be transparent. That would also help the armor skins

That's true, but I don't know if that applies to armor models. I know it applies to block models and now player skins but I'm unsure how it works with armor.

Also, while Mojang's doing 1.9, they should really separate armor into 4 separate textures, rather than 2 textures with helmet and boots in one and leggings and chestplate in the other. (That's probably not how they're paired but I'm just trying to get the point across) It'd make using custom armor based on damage values MUCH easier.

That's true. But it's actually even more stupid than that. Helm, boots, and chestplate are layer one, and leggings are layer 2. Like why have 3 pieces on one texture and the fourth on another?

I have made armor textures for mods and resource packs and stuff like that and I can tell you, it's hella stupid. Like when wearing the chest plate it will render the part of texture layer 1 that covers the torso and arms. I think it's like that.

And your right, I don't know if the transparent pixels work on armor...

i LOVE the 1.9 update especially the pvp changes and for stuff i'm looking forward to for wynn: the ability to have multiple models for one item that has damage values; particle perfomance improvements; server performence improvements; using shulkers as custom hitboxes; NO ELYTRAS; maybe the offhand slot depending on how they use it; commandblock performance improvements (because of the new types of comandblocks making it so they'll have less performance heavy clocks and less redstone having to be activated); second hand slots for mobs and armorstands and propably more i can't think of atm

EDIT: i knew i forgot something: AOEclouds to make spells and raycasting less laggy (cause they still use armorstands in wynn instead of trying something like custom variables in databases or scoreboards but AOEclouds are less laggy than armorstands and can be used in the exact same way) Or as new AOE potions and particle effects; the levitation effect for puzzle stuff, making the archer jump spell less laggy and other things,

I think Elytras need to be something completely optional if implemented. I'd rather not see a quest/dungeon that requires insane elytra maneuvers.

1.9 is finally going to be a good update, how can you not look forward to it?
But tbh Terraria updates still beat the crap out of Minecraft's content-wise.

I'm really excited for boats, shields, the cape thingy that allows you to fly, and endercrystals being essentially an item now. Everything else is "meh, whatevs"

Well Terraria's updates also are a lot different. First of all, Terraria is a 2D game, which makes it easier to implement stuff. It's also mostly linear, so most of what they do increases how long it is. Terraria also adds a lot of monsters that have essentially the same AI, with different numbers and skins. And of course, Terraria's updates take a really long time. Like, probably longer than Gavel time. Mojang still takes a while to release stuff, but not nearly as long as Terraria.

If wynncraft were to implement dual wielding, they would need to change the items to minecraft tools/weapon/anything that doesn't have a right click use, and make the other hand have a right click use, and then you could only use those weapons in the off-hand category, so it would be like having a special off-hand category... Which actually might be kind of cool.

Eh I actually kind of wish they had just patched up the current boats, the new ones look kind of funky (I mean I'll probably grow used to it but still) and the maneuvering is kind of whacky. At least they'll be usable.
The dual wielding seems kind of gimmicky and only really good for torches/pickaxes, pickaxes/shovels, and shields/swords.
I originally hated the PvP changes as I used to love PvP and I thought with the right amount of tactic (and I'm a firm believer in their being tactics in 1.8 PvP) you could beat players in diamond with only iron (or if you were good with strength/harm/invisible potions you could kill diamond players in not a stitch). After looking back on it I suppose it really will just add a few new things to PvP and won't be a complete cluster of stats, tactics, and maneuvers that no sane person would want to keep track of.
The cooldown on swinging was also one of the huge things I hated being changed but I believe it has been toned back a bit to be more noticeable then now but not as if you had mining fatigue constantly. And I'm a fan of terraria too so this is kind of a nice thing.
Elytra I originally thought would be OP but with the durability and low flight time I suppose they're just a gimmicky reward for defeating the ender dragon (I mean come on who actually uses beacons for anything other then decoration? Pretty much the equivalent from the wither). As for how they would be put into Wynncraft I'm not sure but maybe if we praise Slated enough he will give us something balanced, fun, and not laggy.
Uhh... I think comparing Minecraft updates and Terraria updates are like comparing apples and oranges, sure you can see how long they each take to grow but you get totally different end results. Minecraft is just a 3D version of Terraria!

I wasn't trying to. The person who I quoted said that Minecraft updates were worse than Terraria updates. I was attempting to explain why this was.
