I believe that weapon crafting is kind of obsolete and crafted weapons are completely overshadowed by normal weapons. When crafting weapons, I recommend a feature to be able to choose the BASE attack speed of your crafted weapons, so that you have the full range of attack speeds to choose from.

Another suggestion is to allow some identities such as main attack damage %, elemental damage %, spell damage %, etc. to be added as base stats to your weapon rather than simply adding them at the bottom. This will allow players to create weapons that fully suit their playstyle.

Also, for crafting armors, I recommend having points that scale with equipment level that can be used to give your armor elemental defense.

Finally, I think identifications such as attack range should be made accessible to crafted items and that there should be an id that affects spell range.

Yeah, those are ids now. Also, you can powder everything, I'm talking about base defenses, not powdering. IDs should affect base stats so crafted weapons can be as scaleable as normal weapons.

powder can be used as an ingredient. it adds base elemental damage to weapons and base ele defs to armor if used. it is uncommon to use, as, like you said, almost all weapons and armor can be powdered. it has no durability cost to powder a weapon or armor that has been crafted, so it's impractical to use up so much durability and one or more crafting slots for something like that

Powders can be used as ingredients in crafting, but they have a massive durability cost and just don’t cover the range you need to be comparable to a normal weapon. Also, that takes up ingredient slots we just don’t have. Buff Shadestepper!

that is what i said minus the buff shadestepper bit.
you were just suggesting a feature that already existed, seemed to think it didn't, and now i'm questioning your sanity

But main attack % and other ids dont affect base stats(Actual displayed dmg per hit on items) and instead affect the ids at the bottom
