Weapon + Armour Lore!

Legendaries and Mythics could easily be stripped of their OP stats and I would still love them. Why? Lore. Each has a little section explaining their existence at the bottom of their stats. I love this, as it gives so much more character to the world. So, I want to propose a suggestion. Could we have all weapons and armour that aren't just "buyable clothing" (non-rare stuff, like Studded Leather Boots) have some lore? It gives so much more personality to the world, even if it's just something sweet like:

Upside-Down Bowl
Unique

*Insert stats*

A porcelain bowl of Maltican make that probably wasn't intended as armour.


And already it has just that little more personality to it. It's as simple as that. With the whole team doing just a couple then and there, it's get done in no time. Please consider!

Good idea, but the GMs are working hard enough as is to make items with relatively little lore. Maybe a position specifically to write item lore could be created?


Also not all legendaries and mythics have lore, that at least could be changed...

 

I would support this, however I'm not sure how long it would take to do this, considering the massive amount of items currently in the game.

 

They don't? Well, if nothing else, that needs to be addressed.

Knowing this, I added the final option to the poll. I'm quite aware of how many weapons and armour prices there are, and I know that this would be rather daunting for Salty & Co. Trust me, your concern has been taken into consideration.

But yeah - it would be nice to have official item lores (IMO it makes it a lot more immersive and fun and cool).

 

Hey there! This is one of the best suggestions I've heard in terms of lore development ~ however, it would be a piece of work to implement this onto everything as there are currently well over 100-150 items ingame.

 

There are 2000.

The problem isn't designing the lore, I could easily take a week and make lore for all 2000 items, it's implementing it onto each armor piece.

 

Whoops, I apologize, I just realized I put 100-150. I meant 1000-1500. I apologize for any confusion.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there an entire post dedicated to giving each piece of armor its own lore?

Simple cure: dark theme. I write it in white because non-coloured text in Wynncraft IS white.

Good idea, but this would take A LOT of time... If I had to guess I would say there are over 800 items on Wynncraft. Who knows though.
